The doc gave me a clean bill of health this morning, and I can stop taking the malaria meds. He would like to see me in 6-8 months, or if any change when I stop the meds. I am happy! He also checked out my sternum pain, and agreed that it is probably arthritis, however, given family history, believes I need a stress test. So someday I will call my PCP and schedule an appointment. One more health thing behind me.

Chelle, No Way! Did you get malaria? I jus wrote my term research paper on Malaria for biology. What a terrible disease! OMgoodness. I am glad to hear tat you ae no longer in need of treatment. Is it awful how curious I am about where yo contracted it, what strain of plasmodium you were infected with and what drugs they used for treatment? I have a girlfriend who went to Africa in Senior year and contrac`ted P. falciparum strain of malaria and it was chloroquinine resistant strain. I am relieved t hear that your treatment was successful.
