I Made A Dumb Post . . .
I made a dumb post on the Lap-Band board this morning. I passed on an eMail I received of a political nature, stating that I didn't know if it was true or not. In hindsite, I should have taken the time to research it first, which I didn't, but I did not present it as fact. In any event, I was wrong, and the post was a mistake.
Of course, many of the usual crown that craws out from under rocks to attach my faith at every opportunity, and me as a Christian, had a field day. The post had nothing to do with Christianity, but that never stops them. I have learned to not let these folks bother me any more, and I just consider the source.
I should have used better judgement before I made the post. Live and learn,
Blessings,
Ron

The reason I think you couldnt delete it is because you are on another computer that you arent logged in on OH as yourself. The delete button is there for the original poster to remove the thread at any time. But say I started a thread and then got on my iphone and checked in with the board...they would just see me as a guest and I couldnt delete a thread I started at that point.
No question if you are a believer in "the Truth" you must foster truth. We all err, Ron.
I found it interesting ( as it always seems to be the case) that those accusing you, in this case, of hatred/intolerance/etc. used words that were mean-spirited, unforgiving and intolerant. Emotions are funny that way. Logic gets trampled, people get mean and attack. Seems like in such cases no one wants to dialog but just hurl word bombs.
Thanks Gene, and you are so right. Most of the folks in questions ate the same ones that like to attack faith in general, and me specifically at every opportunity. I admitted that I was wrong and made a mistake posting that withour checking it out, but they don't want apoligies, just a reason to rant against Christianity. Blessings my friend,
Ron
