Hi Everyone, So glad I found you, thanks for the invite. I believe lap band surgery is a big step in taking charge of your life, it requires lots of support and sharing, what works for one may not work for another, how many cc's you have in your band might not be right for my band, exercise may be limited by physical handicapps, in other words, this is not a ONE SIZE FITS ALL solution. But sharing experience, strength and hope with each other is what works for me. Thank you all for being here and caring enough to keep this wonderful lifeline going. Take care. Mary

Hi Mary, Very, very true! I think the most important thing I've learned in the 16 months since I was banded is that this is a lifestyle, not a diet. Even at goal, I eat small portions and healthier choices. Occasionally, someone will say, "Why are you still dieting? Haven't you lost enough?" And I tell them this is just how I LIVE! I have found what works for me, and I'll stick with it! Tami

Hi Mary, You are so right -- having the band does require a lot of support especially from people who understand what it's all about. Karen

Thank you so much for the compliment. I have had a very long and hard journey. I'm not one of those people that got banded and the weight just fell off. I have had to work for every inch, but I would do it all over in a heartbeat. The good new is that I'm 1 year out and I'm still losing
