Hey, channel that jealousy into determination, LOL! I talked to my hubby a little while ago on the phone, and I can tell that he's going to try to "work" me this weekend. I'm not going to be talked out of this, though. Sounds like it might be mid-Feb. before our schedules will mesh, which is fine.

Kim, one thing that I can tell you from my experience is that you have to *be* physically fit in order to enjoy it. Until then you have to find something that at least takes the edge off, like listening to music that makes you want to move, or going with a workout buddy, or putting a portable DVD player on the top of the treadmill and watching favorite movies/TV shows, that you *only* allow yourself to watch while working out. Keep track of your exercise...what you're doing, how much weight you're lifting, etc., so you have concrete, measurable evidence of improvement. *That's* the best motivation to keep going!

If you don't mind me asking...what size band do you have and how much of a fill do you have in it? I have an appointment for the 11th and am so scared of being too tight and damaging myself. I know everyone is different. I'm at 7.4 cc's in a 10cc band. I just don't feel like I'm getting much help from the band at this point.
I have a 4cc band, with 1.75cc saline. My last fill was in May. I think I have very moderate restriction, because I can eat just about anything (usually), but then once in a while it just seems to tighten up and surprise me. It happened just a couple of days ago (on New Years Day). I ate a couple bites of pork "riblets" (really tender & moist), and a couple bites of salad, and had the worst stuck episode that I've had in months.
Good luck with the fill. Hopefully that will put you right where you need to be.

Your restriction sound about the same as mine. There really isn't anything I can't eat, and I like it that way. I like to feel as "normal" as possible. My band will tighten up for no reason too. I guess I just need to be really honest with myself and evaluate whether I just need to step up to the plate more, or if my band needs to do a little more work for me. It's so hard knowing what to do!
I've had a referral to a PS for six months now and haven't been. My husband who was incredibly supportive regarding the lap band isn't about PS. Although he says its my choice and to do what I need to... I would rather have him totally behind me. Maybe next year.... I had a look at the PS forum and the photos - that's kinda scary.
So good for you! I am sure a lot of us will follow your progress closely!

Good for you Tami! I'm not near goal but I have been asking questions on the PS forum. I know what I what done and it's to get rid of the panni....I despise it! I don't know if I'll ever be able to afford it, we'll see. Plus be brave enough to go through with it!
I wish you luck, you've done a great job and deserve it.
