Discogal here! Tamales? Bad?

The ones I get are in the refrigerated section at the grocery store. I think they are locally made. Ugh...so so good. And a truly satisfying food with my tight restriction.

Being in Wi., the only ones I've ever had, were in a jar, and rolled in paper?! ha The sauce was pretty greasy, but the actual tamale was ok. Don't they cook those in corn husks? The authentic ones?

Oh yes...the fresh ones steamed in the husks are by far better. You've got to try some! I ate 3 again for lunch today! num num num

Okay, let's be real. Too many are not healthy for you weight wise. BUT that doesnt stop me from eating them if they are homemade. The beauty of the band is that I can still eat stuff but in moderation. And tamales are definitely on my menu! And 220 calories ain't bad at all. Now, my secret is that my best friend's mom makes them homemade and she makes a couple of dozen for me with more filling than meat. Cuz, that maza can choke you to death! Enjoy!
