It went very well. We've seen each other since then for weekends and we just came back from a week's visit with him in Florida.

Thanks Marcia! As for the guy, we dated the 1st time when I was 20. He is originally from NY/NJ but I met him in KS while he was in the Army & I was in college. I set up one of my friends with one of his friends, they got married 2 weeks later and still together. Needless to say, obviously, that wasn't us! He got out of the Army and moved to Florida where he has been ever since. Through different situations, we should have ran into each other over the years. I helped his girlfriend at the time with their room situation when I was working in a casino in LV, my son's father & I almost went in the restaurant/bar he works at in FL, etc. Out of the blue, I asked my friend & her husband if they still talked to him. A few hours later, her husband was calling me back telling me to call him if I wasn't married. So I did and here we are. He's been here a few times and we just came back from a week's visit. He's never been married, has no children although he considers a previous relationship's children his own and is just a really nice guy. So that's it.

It sounds like this relationship was meant to be! I really hope that this works out for you. Florida is a lovely place to live, especially with the right someone. He sounds like a really nice guy! Good luck!
