POLL - SODA/CARBONATION

Just curious. I know some docs say yes, but how many of you vets drink soda now? Be honest. Does it bother you?

I drink diet almost daily. It only bothers me when I have good restriction..I burp continually...so I dont drink it then.

I drink Coke Zero, thanks to Chelle!~ Doesn't have that much carbonation, and is SF. I average one a week!~Used to do, diet pepsi!

None for me. I just don't want to go there. My surgeon also says a firm "No" to drinking soda.

Hello everyone, I hardley ever drink soda. For a treat if we goto the movies I have a small one. Fountain pop seems tohave less carbonation. I usually only drink half of a small.. For christmas I drank some light diet 7 up mixed with my cherry crystal lite. It was festive and the crystal lite cut the carbonation.

I rarely drink it only because I have enough trouble drinking enough water. But when I do, sometimes it's ok and sometimes I need to let it sit a while so some of the fizz goes away.

I can't drink soda with a meal....I just burp it up constantly. I can sip a soda while at the movies...but if I have too much I feel like I'm blowing up.:-0

I only drink a little bit of diet soda if I'm at a party of someplace where I can't get anything else. It makes me burp constantly. All and all it doesn't go down well...

I had diet coke at parties, took a sip and that was it. I guess I'm still afraid. I may try coke zero at the next party. Thanks Sharon & Chelle.

It is ok with my doc 2 week post op. I average about 5 diet cokes a week. I like diet coke because it is not overly sweet and sometimes I just want one. It never causes me any problems and is a good turn to when I want something "sweet" after a meal.
