Good luck with the legal stuff today Ida. I can't imagine the hell that you and Gene have been going through these past months. Hopefully the end is in sight and you will get some kind of justice. Today is pretty quiet for me - need to run to the bank and I have an appointment to see my therapist. Had to cut down my time to 30 minutes every three weeks but it is better than nothing. This forces me to be very focused when I go to see her. Don' t have time to fool around - have to process a lot on my own and then present it to her. It is forcing me to stand on my own two feet. Anyhow I am sending good thoughts your way.
Beth I hope that you make it through your crazy Wednesday. Hang in there. Take care.

Deanna,
Sorry that you are on the western side of the state. There used to be some people on here from that part. Did you try the Ohio board or another state closer to you? Geography is not my strong subject. I know that being connected to someone in person is important. Does your hospital have a support group? Is it possible you might be able to find some people there who live closer to you? Sorry that I can't be more help but that's the best that I got today. Good luck with your search. Take care.

Hello everyone!
I was just reading Donna's post about the lack of movement on the PA board. I just started coming here probably about 5-6 months ago. I wont go into my life story here as everyone is welcome to add me as a friend and read my daily, or not so daily, blogs..HAHA. I am currently in month 3 of the 6 month required supervised diet by my ins. I have posted before to try and see if there were people close to me so that we might be able to plan a weekend lunch some place close to meet and socialize, but no response. I come here to try and get some advice on things. As I am typing this I know I am thinking of things to say or want to say but my thoughts are escaping me.
I seem to find that there are not many active people on this board from my side of the state. All the event meetings listed on the PA forum home page are for out on the east side. I just feel kind of left out over here as there is nothing for us over here to do.
I really wish there was a good app for my phone so that I can keep up to date with that. For some reason my home computer wont let me type blogs. I dont know..it is Windows 8 and I am still learning. I always have my cell so i wish there was a better app...
OK back to work..UGH.

Good Morning Ida and PA!
Good luck today! I hope that it does go by quickly and fairly painlessly!!
Give the cats a chance, we have had Tinkerbell for 16 years and she was also an only cat for the last 6 or so years. When we brought in other cats she just did not want to get along with anyone. When we got Kempo, she was hesitant but has learned to live with him and Raul. It has taken time but it will happen!
Today is my typical, STRESSFUL, Wednesday!! I HATE WEDNESDAYS!!!! Besides having a full teaching schedule, I also have kids that I see after school then I have to rush out to take my daughter and her friend to hebrew school by 4:30!
Well, enough my ranting about my stress!!
Have a GREAT day!!
Love, Beth
Good Morning PA!
Up and dreading today. I am off today, we are heading into Center City for legal stuff for the house. I will need to relive that dark period of my life over again and not looking forward to that. Hopefully it will be over and done with quickly - who knows since opposing counsel is involved.
Hider is still not accepting Ez. Seems that her dislike of him is increasing. I feel bad for both kitties. Hider just wants to be left alone. Ez wants a buddy. When Hider walks into a room we count to 3 and Ez is right behind watching her and trying to engage her. I feel bad for Hider she's an older cat - been an only cat for 13 yrs, wondering if this is good for her health. If it keeps up I think I'm going to need to make a vet appt for her to see if there is anything we can do to help her with this.
I hope you all have a wonderful day....

Donna,
When I taught in Philly, I preferred the older kids. I taught fifth, seventh and eighth grade in a K-8 school, where the principal would just up and transfer an upper grade teacher to first grade. In order to prevent that, I got middle school certification in English, Social Studies and Math, and transferred to middle schools. I can take little kids when they're my grandchildren, or the kids at church, in small numbers. But not in large numbers.
Hope you get a job in a grade you're more comfortable in.
Hugs,
Trish

Good evening Ida and the rest of PA!
Today I was working in the 2nd grade. What a gorgeous day weather-wise. Tonight I have to tutor and just chill out. Tomorrow I'll be volunteering in 1st grade. I am okay with the little kids but I know that I really belong upstairs with the big guys. Hope that everyone had a good day.

Good Afternoon Ida and PA!!
Sorry to hear that you couldn't sleep! Glad to see you posting though! I just LOVE when relatives change plans without realizing that it will affect others!! Oh well, what can you do? I know you are anxiously waiting for the house to be done, and you have been extremely patient, alot more than I would have been!!
I have a short break in my day, and the holidays have kicked in (at least with the kids)! They are off the wall crazy!!!!
Can't wait for this day to be done! But, then again, I have Wednesday to look forward to, NOT!?!?!?
Hope all is well!
Beth
Good Morning Ida and PA FamilySo happy to hear your house is near completion. I know you have dealt with the construction for years. Sorry to hear your sis-in-law changed the dinner for your in-laws.
I will be hosting dinner on Christmas in the afternoon, to allow my son and his in-laws to get to his Dad's at 6:00. That's the way it's been since Dad remarried. Except for last year. My daughter begged me to have my family's Christmas dinner the day after, so she would not have to drag the kids back and forth for two dinners. She was able to bring them down here early, and stay the whole day. That's what her in-laws do. The kids all go to their in-laws on Christmas day, and then to my daughter's in-laws on the day after. They also do this on Thanksgiving.
Today, I have to get ready to get to my AA meeting. Then, I must get some packing done in the basement. Time to get some headway made down there.
Hugs,
Trish
