So up I got this morning and off to Planet Fitness I went, where I spent my time doing a cardio workout on the elliptical, which 5+ years ago was unfathomable. . . I remember the first time I did the elliptical, I could not do 3 minutes, this morning I did 45. Do I love the gym, NO, do I like the healthier person I've become ABSOLUTELY!!! What I have found is that doing this helps me, at this stage of my post-wls life, make healthier choices, because who wants to waste the time I spend in the gym on food choices that don't honor this new way of life!

Looking for anyone who has experience with him. Want to know all i can about him, his bed side manner, his wait time for surgery, his compasion level, empathy level, everything that really matters to a weight loss patient.
Well Andy, I am glad you found your way out of the hell that Alcoholism and I certainly feel for you, but with a good attitude and you putting in the efforts to move forward, it's as they say, God helps those who help themselves, short form, He can move mountains for us, but we'd best bring a shovel and be prepared to do some serious work. . .remember to take each day as it comes, for living one day at a time, we just never know what the tomorrow can bring us. . .
Welcome back and it would be nice to see some of the old things that were in place, back on, though, not sure what kind of participation will be had, as I've tried before with little effect, but I don't quit . . .

Glad you are participating in something positive and that is working for you, we all need to find our way to positive and uplifting ways to navigate this crazy life and one that is geared towards health and well being is a good one. I know what a busy life you live, holding down 3 jobs, after all being a single Mom is a full time job in and of itself. . .I love when you post, it is always written in a way that no matter the situation, you are living and seeking a positive way to get through it.
Enjoy and may 2013 find you having lots of dreams fulfilled. . .

Just want to say that I am happy that this long process is moving closer to an ending. So happy to read about your's and Gene's wonderful partnership and yours and his personal successes, heaven knows it has not been easy the last couple of years for you with the house stuff. . . As for seeing you at Barix, I'd love that and hope one day soon it happens, both of you were a wonderful presence. . .hope they find the solution that helps your sweet kitty. . .

Hi Donna,
I feel strongly about this board as support for people who are on their personal journey towards WLS and so I feel it is important, because I know there are many people, who want to maintain their privacy within this particular journey and my faithfulness is about lending a voice, based on my own experiences within the WLS community and about paying it forward based on the fact that without those who populated this board before I found my way here in 2006/2007, I might not have gotten to where I am today, they helped me through encouragement and their experiences and to me gratitude is an action word.
I appreciate people such as yourself who continue to come back and offer any knowledge or encouragement to the few that find their way here. . . Thanks for being a part of my support network!

Thanks for replying! I am on the road to recovery. Tomorrow will be the test as to how well I have recovered. The car I am getting is adequate.
