How much? It would depend on the price and I am not sure how I feel about "advertising" my 100lb weight loss....
Hello, I make and sell paracord bracelets and I have designed an image to be made onto an oval charm that will go on the bracelet, that says and signifies that we have reached that 100 lb. lost goal, just sort of a way to award yourself of this achievement. These will be custom made to fit each individuals wrist size and If you are not a bracelet wearing type... you can have yours made into a key lanyard instead? How do you all feel about this?
Thanks
Rob
Howdy to all my fellow Pennsylvanians
I didn't know there was forum listings by state lol. Ah well, I found ya. Hope everyone is doing well :)
Jill,
I know how you feel, as I began getting back into the exercise habit before the holiday's, it was fits and starts and each day has been a struggle, but I've gotten myself there on average 5x a week and as a byproduct, I find my eating is good as well, and the thing about the exercise component is, it also gives me a little wiggle room, for those special moments where there might be something I want to experience a moderate amount of something I don't ordinarily eat and so I am hopeful that my goal, if I continue on as I have been, will be met. I am logging all my food and exercise and am well within the guidelines I need to be for the weight to be coming off. So it definitely feels good!
Looking forward to seeing you and Donna and all the many others that come to support group on Saturday!

Congratulations Jill! I know that I feel better when I am doing what I should food wise. I am looking forward to Saturday's meeting because I need the support. My eating hasn't been too great recently. Been gobbling down my food and eatin too many carbs.
I felt as I thought I should feel....I'm in the medical field myself but have never had any medical issues or surgeries, I personally know 4-5 people that had bariatric surgery and picked their brains + a LOT of research! Everyone's pain tolerance differs....immediately post-op I thought "is this it? Piece of cake!" You'll have a PCA pump where you can self administer pain meds, morphine.....about every 6 minutes if you need it....i did use it, about once/hour, but each time i did i became nauseated and spit up....switched to Dilaudid with same results....I wanted to get out of bed sooo bad.....it helps with the gas they inflate your stomach with....surgery on monday, went home tuesday eve around 6pm with Tylenol/codeine, so much better to manage pain without nausea....do not overdue it once you are home... rest, recover, WALK and SIP!!!....So to answer your question...yes it hurts, after all they are poking holes (6) and moving and cutting your insides.....doable and manageable? yes, def...would i do it again? at this point yes..... highest wt 245 in november 2012, 226 on 1/14 day of surgery, went home at 233 (iv fluids, gas) 217 this morning......I guess I won't be a speedy looser, than again, i did not gain 120 pounds in 1 year!! Looking for long term success.
Being nervous before surgery is normal, for me it got worse as it got closer...."Am I sure? can'tI try harder without surgery? Can't I just do it? what if something goes wrong?" I just kept telling myself that anxiety was normal, that I researched it well and I had higher risks by remaining morbidly obese than with surgery....48 hours prior I kind of reached inner peace, said my prayers and went thru with it!
I had one of those amazingly perfect eating days yesterday. Saw the nutritionist yesterday morning and re-re-re-re-re-committed. I think that's about right. Came in at around 1000 calories, although my plan allows for 1200. It felt good to be in control of what went in my mouth for a change. Today is off to a good start as well. Looking forward to Saturday's meeting to share some recent insights into what makes me tick.
Blessings, Jill
WLS 5/31/07. Maintaining a weight loss of 141 pounds and feeling amazing!
Thank you!
How are you feeling two weeks out? Were you in a lot of pain? I'm getting nervous!

I also had Dr Meilahn at Temple.....really did not deal with him very much, other than the surgery of course...mostly with the office and their support system. Had surgery Monday (he overslept, came in 1.5 hour late :/ ), went home on tuesday evening....glad it all went ok.... Good luck!
