Hi, I am new and I already have my appointment set up with my surgeon. His office called to make sure my insurance would cover the surgery. The woman called me back and said yes the insurance covers this type of surgery. I just don't know what hoops i will have to jump through, what my timeframe looks like and what my actual requirements will be. It is killing me to have to wait for another 3 weeks until i meet my surgeon to find out so many questions i have. Can anyone else help me?
Good Morning PA peeps!
Just wanted to post and wish everyone an early Happy St. Patrick's Day! Not a big day for me but I know that there are many who truly enjoy the celebration. Nothing too much going on with me this weekend. Am going to a celebration on Sunday. The rest of the weekend will just be filled with normal chores - laundry, food shopping, cleaning (maybe) Whatever you do make sure that you enjoy being in the moment - that's all we have. Our moments post-op are much better than they were prior to our WLS.
Just an aside - has any one heard from Ida? I know that she was starting a new job and I was just wondering if everything was okay with her and Gene. When I don't see one of the "regulars" posting for a while I get concerned. Anyhow make these next few days memorable in the healthiest sense possible. Take care.

Hi John, welcome and good luck to you as you embark on this life altering journey... please feel free to come and share your experiences, while there are not a lot of posters anymore, we do stop in to check and offer help based on our experiences.
Try this link for shrinking your photos, save it to your favorites as you will be taking lots more photos to share . . . no bigger than 100 x 100 pixels is what I believe. . .

Hi John!
I'm not from your area but I just wanted to wish you luck with your surgery on the 19th. What type of surgery will you be having. I had an RNY almost 4 years ago. It was one of the best decisions I ever made. Before my surgery I was on a liquid diet for 10 days and that was the worst part of the whole process for me. Keep us posted on your progress. Feel free to ask any questions - usually someone on here can give you an answer or point you in the right direction. Take care.

Hey everyone. I'm John. Scheduled for my surgery on March 19th. Excited for a new life change. Looking to see if more people in my area are about to do it or have done it. I start my 1 week liquid diet on Tuesday the 12th. I would post a pic but every pic I try to post no matter how small says it's to big.
I have used this site alot to learn alot about what I have in store for me.
Happy Friday Beth and PA,
I've been living in Michigan a month, and have been so busy with my grandchildren, and unpacking, I barely get on my laptop. After weeks of subfreezing temps, we're going to be close to 50 degrees this weekend. Since I moved here, my yard has always been snow covered. Hopefully, I'll get to see it in its entirety before the next snowfall. It snows into April here, so I'm ready for anything.
Have a great weekend.
Hugs,
Trish

Hey Beth,
Glad to see you posting. Sorry that the stomach flu made its way through your entire family. Here's hoping that the Vohls will be getting healthier with each passing day. Nothing too much for me on tap for the weekend. Need to do laundry and change my sheets. Stopped at the store today so that is finished. Will be getting together with a friend on Sunday afternoon. Just hoping to catch up on some sleep. Have been in school every day this past week to help with the standardized testing. That's about it for me. Take care.
