I second the nomination for the program at Abington!!
I almost forgot to post!!!
Come out and support each other as we find ways to maintain our wonderful weight loss. As always, the main focus of this meeting is topics as they relate to post-ops, so please come by and share your WOW moments, as well as whatever else is on your mind.
The Place: 280 Middletown Boulevard, Langhorne, PA 19047
The time: 7 p.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m.
If you are celebrating a surgiversary, please bring any props (clothes worn prior to WLS, pictures), you will get time to share what it was like, what it is like now and what you look forward to.
We have a nutritionist at every meeting and while all are welcome to attend our support groups, nutritional consults cannot be given to non-Barix patients, but no matter where you had surgery if you feel in need of support we welcome you!
On a last note, while we recognize that there are times when babysitting might be an issue, it would be appreciated if small children were not brought to the meeting, as there are times people have a need to discuss things where having a small child there inhibits their ability to discuss openly talk about what they need to. Thank you for your understanding.

I also had my surgery at Barix in Langhorne - coming up on 4 years out. You've heard the recommendations from others - I would simply recommend that you add it to your list of places to consider. Excellent pre and post op support, and the surgery experience there was top flight.
I went to Abington, Dr. Bonanni was thee best. Bedside manner was wonderful, and he was very honest. The hospital was clean and the nurses were very friendly. I was well taken care of when I had surgery.
Barix, right near Oxford Valley Mall in Langhorne. That is all they do. When you are upstairs post-op, all the patients are bariatric. The nurses specialize in bariatric post-op care. They have doctor's who've done hundreds of weight loss surgeries. They have three support groups a month. Every time you have an appointment, the nutritionist also comes in and discusses food needs.
I have gastric bypass with Dr. Marymor six years ago. He gives patients his cell phone number when they're discharged. He lurks here, and when he's seen me post about being hospitalized, he calls me to check on me. How many surgeons do that? Check his page here on Obesity Help. There are tons of positive reviews for him.

Hope all the moms out there had a good day!
