Hey Donna!

Congrats on your success and your resiliency!  Four years is no easy task!  So glad that you are not beating yourself up - we are just humans... doing the best we can. Take care

I am so sorry Jill that I cannot make this meeting.  I have at least 3 other commitments that day and can only honor two of them.  I will miss seeing all of you guys.  Know that I will be there in July in order to celebrate my 4th surgiversary

Topic: It's that time again -- 1st Saturday of the Month Support at Barix in Langhorne!

Come support each other as we find ways to maintain our wonderful weight loss.  As always, the main focus of this meeting are topics as they relate to post-ops, so please come by and share your WOW moments, as well as whatever else is on your mind.

The Place:  280 Middletown Boulevard, Langhorne, PA 19047
The time:  11 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m.

If you are celebrating a surgiversary, please bring any props (clothes worn prior to WLS, pictures), you will get 5 minutes to share what it was like, what it is like now and what you look forward to.

We have a nutritionist at every meeting and while all are welcome to attend our support groups, nutritional consults cannot be given to non-Barix patients, but no matter where you had surgery if you feel in need of support we welcome you!

On a last note, while we recognize that there are times when babysitting might be an issue, it would be appreciated if small children were not brought to the meeting, as there are times people have a need to discuss things where having a small child there inhibits their ability to discuss openly talk about what they need to.  Thank you for your understanding.

Blessings, Jill

Hi Donna and PA!!

Happy Memorial Day weekend to all!! My Dad was also in the Korean War. Your right, he doesn't talk about it unless I ask him questions. It is what it is!!! Sorry the Phillies are not doing well, such is life in Philly!?!?!

I am also having a quiet weekend. Testing is FINALLY done at school and the end of the year is looming. The kids are already in summer mode!

Not much going on here, just have not been posting

Hoping to post more often....Hope all is well!

Hi all!
We are spending Memorial Day at it's birthplace- Boalsburg PA. It should be a nice sunny fun day. Arts & Crafts, car show, reenactors and fun.

Topic: Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Good evening PA peeps!

Hope that all of you are enjoying your holiday weekend.  What's up with this weather?  It's pretty chilly now but will be hitting 90 by next Thursday.  I'm presently watching my Phillies and getting indigestion.  Oh well there are more important things in life than baseballNot too much going on for me this weekend.  Need to put away the winter clothes and get out the summer ones.  I am living half and half and need to just get off my butt and do it.  My food has been a little off.  Not quite sure what is going on but I know that I need to get back into writing things down and thinking before I put something in my mouth.

Giving a shout out to all of our veterans and those who are currently serving in the Armed Forces.  When my dad was alive he always marched in the parade on Memorial Day with his VFW post.  I used to hate going to the parade but now in retrospect I am proud of his contribution during the Korean War.  He never spoke about his time in Korea which is pretty typical for men of his generation.

May all of us make good food choices this weekend while we honor those who have sacrificed so all of us can enjoy our freedom.  Take care.

Topic: Einstein Medical in Montgomery County, PA to start support groups!

YAY!  I was at my appointment over at the new Einstein Medical Center and Hospital in Montgomery County, and after my appointment with my nutritionist, Meghan, I was told that beginning in July (I think July 11th to be exact), she is going to be hosting support groups.  I know a couple of us have had our programs at that hospital, so this is incredible news to hear!  My surgery will be scheduled in July, so this pans out perfectly for me - I will contact Cindy over at the office to get all the dates through December - they haven't been posted online yet, so I think here would be a great place to start!  Who's with me?
