Jill,

GUILT is optional. . .you can shake it off, remember you are successing, which means, you are a work in progress and while I know those feelings, I shake them off easier today because I know that I am not perfect, never will be perfect, but I am as perfect today as I can be and I make more compliant decisions than non-compliant.  Look at how far we've come and remember that this is a lifelong journey we are on!!!

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning!

At 4 years 8 months post-op my plan for today is:

B:  Eggwhite omlet made with spinach, mushrooms, onion and cheese

S:  Banana, strawberries and blueberries, wedge of laughing cow cheese

L:  Ok, so this week I'm boring. . .  chicken over romaine, with onions, tomatoes, fennel - Ken's Free Raspberry Pecan salad dressing and a sprinkle of Pecans

S:  Yogurt

D:  Unsure of what I will eat this evening, largely depends on when I get out of work (we have a big hearing today)

S:  Probably a skinny cow or klondike, no sugar bar

For all who participate, thanks, for those peeking in to see what to look forward to, remember that some of us are further along.

I have KHPE...  I've had all the things done that the surgeon requested - blood  work, psych eval, sleep study and breathing test.  I think there is some I don't have to do b/c I don't have any of the co-morbidities that warrant some of the testing.  I'm waiting to hear from Barix about what I need to do next.  I don't think it's much.

Rach was super disappointed about the tornado warnings.  It was an adventure, to say the least.

That's all for now...  I'll keep you posted...

Topic: Bariatric Prenatal Vitamins?
Hi Everyone,

I haven't been on in ages and a lot has happened.  I now live in Wyoming and am married.  I am looking for a good bariatric prenatal vitamin.  I tried the Bariatric advantage Prenatal Kit and it was so nasty...no way can I choke those down every day.  When I tried to return them they said they won't take returns.  I am pretty upset about spending $150 on something I can't manage to chew every day...what a rip off!

Has anyone used a good prenatal vitamin that met all of our post RNY needs as well as the prenatal needs? I like the Celebrate vitamins but am not sure if they meet all the prenatal needs as well.

Thanks for your help!

When I'm not participating on this thread, it is out of pure GUILT.  I know I should plan and log.  It keeps me on track.  The posts here help give me ideas too.  I cannot bring myself to "give my food" to an OA sponsor, but I feel "safe" doing it here.  I'm glad you started this thread even if there is not a lot of participation.

Blessings, Jill

Try something with a little protein and some fluids about 45 min. before class and some more fluids right after class. Since you are going home to eat dinner the liquids should hold you.

I would say, try putting you afternoon snack off until later on that day or maybe have half a banana or something that will hold you over.  When I had a PT, she said, a good carb along with a little protein (like half a banana and peanut butter) an hour before working out is good; and plan your dinner for afterwards. . .  as we should have protein within an hour after working out, particularly when doing weights.

Oh and make sure you've had a good amount of water, especially doing a Zumba class. . .

My reasons for planning and logging food is to see what I am actually doing, not judging what I do and as you so well stated, the mind plays tricks, one way or another. . .  some days are better than others. . .

Thanks for participating Jill, cause I'm almost feeling as though I don't want to do this anymore. . . lack of participation. . .  I log my food daily on Sparkpeople, I do this for accountability to myself and you all and for newcomers to see what a post-WLS person eats like, as I know I wondered myself, but I don't see many hits to my posts and that's just how I feel for today. . . my thinking is wacked some days too!!!
