Well you made it thru the day ~ congratulations!

Isn't it crazy how obsessed we get with a single idea....grains for you....a couple of weeks ago for me it was Twizzlers. Huh? Where did that come from?

Best to your daughter....and to you!

good article.  I've noticed an increase in articles regarding WLS and alcoholism lately

Jill,

I, too, deal with stress and certain emotions by wanting to soothe/bury them in an avalance of food, but then I wind up in that vicious cycle of guilt, shame and remorse over what I did to self-sabotage, which does not mean I don't go there sometimes, but it's getting better and the main thing is, sometimes, I just make a choice to do it consequences be damned, but even then, it is not like I used to be, I am able to stop short and sometimes, altogether before doing harm to myself. . .

Congrats on your success last night, in spite of your daughter's meltdown, I hope today she is on her way to feeling better.

Hugs, Laureen

Yup... I've been around.. super busy between working and getting Siehara ready for camp..  bags are all packed.. 2 more sleeps!  She's been really good the past few weeks!! Got a clean bill of health from the ENT at her follow up from her T&A and was given the ok to have ice cream.  We stopped for a shake at Sheetz on the way home yesterday.  I then told her that was it.. she ate nothing but sugar for 2 weeks and that's enough now.  The dr even mentioned something to her about her diet.  Hopefully, she'll take him seriously.

This morning I took the car for an oil change and they did a few other things so I know we'll be safe for the drive to camp and then Friday is Neil's official graduation from college! He finished classes in February, but walks Friday! I'm so proud of him! Now he just needs a job..

Working the rest of today==- 1/2 day.. then Siehara has therapy and med check tonight.. wanted to get that last stuff in before camp!

So sorry to hear about your daughter Jill! Hopefully things will get better!

What a true inspiration for fighting the thoughts in your head and sticking to your goal for the day! Very admirable if I must say!

Keep kicking those thoughts!!

Yay Lauren!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously all I would recommend are comfy walking shoes, your cell phone and charger, i brought comfy panties and pajama pants, and chap stick!! Beth also brought up a good point about tampons or pads.. I have heard of many women having their period brought on by surgery!! (I got mine the night before.. lucky me!)

Other than that, you really don't need or have time for anything else!! So excited for you!!
