Ty, welcome to the PA board! Sorry that yu had such difficulties with the band.
You will find plenty of support from the "fat girls" and guys on this board. We've been there, done that.
Pre op was probably the hardest stage for me because I had a long wait for insurance approval, and I am not a patient person by nature. All the pre op clearances took a while, as well. I opted for RNY at my doctor's recommendation, and lost 105 lbs. at my lowest weight. I now hover at about 90-95 lbs. lost. In the long run, I have learned to deal with food prety successfully. My exercise WAS fantastic but I've now relocated to FL and am searching for the "perfect" gym....hoping I find it this afternoon, in fact!

Topic: Hello from Morrisville, PA
Hello everyone,
My name is Ty; I am a 31 year old wife and a mother to a beautiful 8 year old daughter. I had my band removed 6/19/12 (after almost 6yrs of complications) & will be getting sleeved on July 24th, the day before my 32nd birthday. Nice birthday gift to myself huh, lol??
I have to say, there are times where I am mentally kicking myself in the ass for even considering this surgery. But then I think of all the benefits & even though I'm scared outta my mind, I know I am gonna go through with this, no ifs, ands or buts about it.
I have been the fat girl all my life & it's time things change. The man I marrried almost 8 years ago is, in my opinion, the most wonderful & supportive husband a girl could ask for. We are planning on renewing our vows on our 10th anniversary & I sure as hell plan on looking & feeling WAY better than I did the day we got married lol.
Anyhoo, I just wanted to come by & introduce myself & to congratulate the people who have already went through with the surgery & to help encourage those like me in the pre-op stages. I hope to talk to some of you soon!!!

Happy 4th to all !!
I had some revision plastics about 2 weeks ago and am still at home resting and healing. My family (but not me) will be volunteering at 4th Fest in State College. I swear these are the best fireworks ever. Since we volunteer , we get VIP seating and it is awesome. I go back to the Dr on 7/10 to see when I go back to work. All I know is that with all the heat I am very thankful for my window a/c. Have a safe & happy holiday!

GM Beth & PA:
Slept in this morning - very rare for me to be able to sleep in....
Sitting here checking email, and such, reading the paper online and drinking my decaf tea.
Might run out to the store to pick up some things needed for the house, otherwise just a quiet day home, then back to work tomorrow.
Hope you all have a wonderful day...
Ida

Well I see that OH is back on line!
Happy 4th to all of you. I am working a few hours today, then coming home to do a few things here. Might catch the local fireworks tonight, but saw a great display in Michigan last weekend so I have already done the "oohs and ahhhs."
Mike arrives Thursday night for the weekend here, and I have the weekend off (which is a rare gift!)
My gym here was purchased by LA fitness so my membership is transferring over to LA. I am kind of glad - LA wasn't open yet when I joined the other gym, and I never fell in love with the old one. (I WAS in love with Universal in Lancaster!) Anyway, over the next week I want to try some of their classes and get in the groove of more exercise once again. I am doing okay on the food side of things, but activity? Not so much.
Take care everyone!

As many of you have, growing up and living most of my life right in the heart of our country's independence, I have a deep appreciation for what we have to celebrate today. I live within 30 minutes of Independence Hall, Washington's Crossing and Valley Forge. I have been to all of them multiple times, with family and with students on trips. It's definitely helped me truly appreciate what today truly means. If you have never been here, I recommend a trip to see all three.
Today, I am going to be tidying a little, as my sister is bringing steaks and corn on the cob over so we can do an indoor picnic. I have a George Foreman type panini maker to use, as I haven't gotten my grill over here from her house yet. I'll also be watching my pitiful Phillies, to see if they are going to turn this season around.
I hope everyone has a safe and gloriously blessed holiday. Whatever plans you have, I hope they are safe.
Hugs,
Trish

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.

I was dreading the electric bill this month too! It wasn't as bad as I thought only because I am budgeted! LOL!
I personally LOVE summer so I don't mind it at all but I can completely understand that it is not for everyone!

Good Afternoon PA!
Haven't seen any posts lately, I know the site has been down and acting weird?!?!?
Today I started my summer teaching job! It was SO much fun!! So different than the rest of the school year. I knew most of the kids, the classes are small and no administrators breathing down my neck!!
I am hoping that the rest of the summer is not as hot as it has been! I HATE the heat and humidity!!
I do not even want to see my electric bill!
So, I hope everyone is doing well!!
Post if you can...
