Has anyone had bariatric surgery at St Mary's in Langhorne?

I have upmc for you.  Dr. Courcoulas at Magee did my surgery in 2009.  I am fairly sure I need a revision as I have gained 25 pounds and really just constantly feel famished.  Will my plan which is Medicaid cover my initial visits and revision surgery?  I'd like to switch to a better lifetime management surgery if anyone can recommend one.

Hey there! I had my sleeve done with Dr. Gabrielsen in Danville in May. I thought the care was great - no complaints here. Everything seemed to work really well in the supervised diet process as well as post-op care. Feel free to ask any questions!

Wishing all of my PA friends a wonderful holiday season!

Donna, it sounds like your job is a really good fit for you! I am also tired of the darkness and look forward to turning the corner toward more daylight!

Happy December 14th to PA peeps far and wide!

I stop in and check this board every two weeks or so and just wanted to wish all of you a Joyous  Holiday and a Happy, Healthy 2014.  My job continues to go well.  Every day is different and I am far from bored.  It's a good thing that I am a nerd for paperwork and that I am so anal about being organized.  These qualities, along with a tinge of OCD, are very helpful when you are a school secretary.  I am looking forward to the winter solstice and the increase in daylight which will follow.  I don't know about you but I am tired of going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

Prayers and positive thoughts being sent to all of you.  May these days be filled with joyful expectations, happy reminiscing and peaceful enjoyment with those you love.  Take care.

Love, Donna

I really believe that RNY is good for a 100 pound weight loss and then a 20 pound bounceback regain.  Net loss seems to be 80 pounds and it takes dedication to maintain that.

We all seem to have different reasons for our regain, but it seems that the body makes its own decision on how much to lose, when to stop and when to bounceback.

Some of us lose more at first and then have more bounceback regain.  I fight hard to stay at goal, but went through my too skinny stage and my bounceback stage.

I know that there are people who have a different experience but for the most part, people think that they have failed when their net loss equals about 80 pounds.  I think they have done excellent.

I have not been on here in forever!  I too am working to lose some of my regain.  I have 14 pounds to go to get back to my lowest weight after surgery.  Hopefully I'll get there.  I've been behaving myself except for my little nibbles of chocolate chips...I've found Ghirdelli 60% cocoa chocolate chips in the baking isle...so a couple a day keeps that chocolate craving to a dull roar...I take after my mom when it comes to chocolate love my chocolate :-)

I don't talk about my WLS prefer much more private so most of my FB conversations regarding FB are private messages.  Gene and I were shopping today, he's been on a weight gain lately.  We realized as we were talking about it January 6th 2014 will be 8 years for him, it has taken him 8 years to start gaining weight.  Need to get that under control now that we both realize he is.  I need to be more mindful of what I bring in the house again as I was 8 yrs ago....Hopefully I'll think about checking in here more often....
