Sitting across from my current husband and support, I asked him this off the wall stupid question..... What if you don't like me when I get the weight off? He looked at me in shock on that question. He said he'd love me even if my skin turned to purple with pink polka-dots. He also said, he's been with at my best and been with me at my worse and seeing how we are still together, nothing will tear us apart. I am so lucky that I have him in my life, even though he does have a warped sense of humor at times. His younger daughter said, don't worry mom, we'll help you through it...
The GI series and invasion of the booty appts is tomorrow. something I do NOT want to do.. as I always say, crap goes out NOT in.... Thank god I will be SLEEPING during all this. lol... Choosing Loving Care
by Madisyn Taylor
Our bodies are like living temples, and deserve all the love and care we can give them. Amazingly flexible and strong, they allow us to experience the world. If we notice that we’re not feeling our best, that we’ve put on extra weight, or that our favorite clothes don’t fit, we can make the choice to be good to ourselves in a new way today.
There are times we become conscious of a deeper hunger that will not be satisfied physically. We can make a new, healthier choice for ourselves in any moment, regardless of the hour, day, week or month. And when we make the choice lovingly, we work from a creative place of improving our lives and nurturing the best within us, so there is no need to punish ourselves. From this place, we can be gently honest with ourselves about the reasons we want to eat certain foods. We can reach out to doctors to help us determine if our bodies are out of balance at a level that requires something other than basic nutrients. We can also reach out to our friends for support and to share the journey of health, which is just another part of our adventure on the physical plane.
When we treat ourselves and our bodies as we would a trusted and loyal companion, we keep our energy free from negative thoughts that would complicate our journey. Our bodies are not our enemies, and we are not fighting a battle. Instead, we are investing our love and attention into the care and support of a beautiful creation—our selves.

Hope Raul checks out well. . .
Today is another work day, I'm exhausted due to a severe bout with gastritis last night, I have no idea why or what happened, but it was pretty painful and at about 11 I remembered that I had gasex in my medicine drawer, it was expired, but I figured it beat nothing and somewhere between midnight and beyond I fell asleep, my Roxie girl sensed something was wrong and snuggled real close to me last night. I used to have gastritis in my 20s and it can be pretty painful, I guess all the stress of the past month has caught up with me. . . the rest of my day entails work and tonight a meeting with my friend Owen and our AA homegroup meeting.
Looking forward to tomorrow being Friday and another 3-day weekend. . .
Well that about covers me. . .hope everyone has a wonderful day!
Hugs, Laureen

Today is going to be a busy day!! First thing this morning I am going to see my therapist for my monthly chat! LOVE HER! If anyone needs a therapist who specializes in WLS and eating disorders let me know! I will refer you to her!! I have been seeing her for the past four years and she is great!!
Then I have a couple hours reprieve before I have another dr appointment then have to take Raul, my furbaby to the vet. He is eating and acting more like himself but I still want to get him checked out!
The rest of the day will be enjoying my downtime....September will be here before I know it!!!
Glad to see more people posting on roll call!
Have a great day!!
Love, Beth

Sounds like things are moving. . . the process leading up to surgery can be frustrating at times and being proactive as you did by following-up is a very good thing, the noisy wheel, gets the oil. . .before you know it, you will be sharing that you've got a date and the nervous anticipation sets in. . . it was just about this time 5 years ago that I got the call with my date of surgery, it was sooooo exciting to know that I was about to be a bona fide member of the Loser's bench. . . anyway, good for you that you are losing weight, as you said that is a plus and it means you are already embracing change for your future. . .
Take care and have a great day, looking forward to hearing about your surgery date!
