While I can't help you with donations, a suggestion that helped me while I was losing was to have some work pants and skirts altered by a home ec teacher in my building. A tailor or seamstress could do it also, at least till you reach goal weight. Also, I live in Lower Bucks County, and we have a great Salvation Army Thrift Store on Business Rt. 1 in Fairless Hills where they have half-price Wednesdays. Some of the business casual stuff is great. Not sure what part of the Philly area you are from.

Hi everyone, i am currently 6 months out from RNY surgery and have lost alot of weight and the financial strain in my home is tremendous as i am sure most of our situations are, i am in need of size 18 to 16 clothing, dress clothes for work and casual wear, i was a size 26 and the smallest clothing i have now are a size 22 and literally falling off me, i live in the philadelphia area and was wondering if anyone had any clothes to donate, i cannot believe most of the philly support groups do not have a clothing share. Any help is so greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Greetings Ida and PA,
I had a lot of trouble ordering shoes for my son's wedding also. I forget how I solved that one.
I had a crazy morning. I overslept, and called out sick for my volunteer work this afternoon. Between a sinus infection, a lousy night's sleep, and the back issues from the car accident on Thursday, I am just not 100% on top of my game this week.
This morning, I had to get a police report of the accident on Thursday. Then, I had to stop at the garage so they could take pictures and put together an estimate for it. After that, I stopped at my agent's office so they could fax the documents to the claims department for my claim. I'm hoping they don't make me pay the deductible, since I was not responsible for the accident this time.
Well, the Phillies are winning in Cincinnati, and I am resting my back. In a little while, I'll start tidying. The dog hair has taken over, and if I do not clean it daily, it overruns my beautiful hard wood floor.

Good Morning!
I'm officially on vacation!!!! Do not go back to work till next Wednesday. For the remainder of this week I have to put all the boutineers toghether, the bridal party bouquets, decorate the flower girl and ring bearer pillow, and some other things. Then it will be time to start baking the "family recipe" cookies for the reception. As I sit here and type I'm beginning to wonder if this is a vacation - guess it is not for me.
My shoes came last night - they are beautiful - they sent me the wrong shoes for the flat sandles I ordered so I might have to run around crazy on Friday to find another pair - the best laid plans.
Last nigh****er in the basement again and more rain forcasted for this week.
for those sending the little ones off to school today have a great day, and for all the teachers out there God Bless YOU!
Time to get my butt to working on all this stuff...

Congrats! You have done an amazing job. I don't visit the boards often, and never posted much, but my 6 year surgiversary is next month and I wanted to see how my fellow Barix 2006 "graduates" are doing. I can't believe it's been 6 years. I don't remember my old life. Well, I only remember enough to know that I am NEVER going back.
I agree that Dr. Marymor is the best! After each of my annual appointments I take a handful of his cards and give them to anyone who expresses interest in my success.

My day has been bizarre, and too weird to describe. I still have to go to the police department to get an accident report for the fender bender on Thursday. I was rear ended and there is some minor damage to the back of my car, but I don't want to be stuck with the deductible since the accident is not my fault. Then, I have to worry about getting a car rental, and getting my insurance to pay. Argh.
I hope all who are starting school have a wonderful year. I do not miss teaching one single bit.

Topic: Tuesday Roll Call
Hello PA!!!
I know it is still Monday, but I know I will not get the chance to post tomorrow! It is the first day back to work/school for both Dee and I. She is excited and I am resigned to the fact that my summer is over...I am excited to see (some) of my coworkers and the kids, but they don't come in until Thursday!! Lunches are packed, outfits are out ready for the morning, child is showering and I will soon go up and blow dry her hair because right now it looks like a hot mess!?!? Already have the car packed with my stuff and Dee's stuff for her first day of 4th GRADE!!! Cannot believe it!!!
We were looking through some DVD's and found the one that has her baby naming on it. WOW!! She was such a peanut, and now she is turning into a wonderful young lady....where did the time go?? It was kind of an emotional moment for me, there were people on the video who have since passed away, my parents when they were healthier and more mobile. Glad I found it though....
Well, I am sure many of you are getting back to reality as I am. Let's all hope and pray for a smooth transition from summer to real life!!!
