There are meetings at Barix Clinics in Langhorne, PA for post-ops on the first Saturday of each month (so sorry I didn't see your message sooner), as well as the 3rd Wednesday of each month. They also have pre-op meetings the 1st Tuesday of every month, and all are welcome to attend any of these meetings. I am a co-facilitator and we have a great format with a variety of speakers and topics presented (usually 3). I know that on Wednesday, August 20, two of the topics are "Vitamins" and "Eating to Live vs. Living to Eat." PM me if you need further information. Oh, the times would be helpful, huh? The Tuesday and Wednesday meetings are from 7 pm to 8:30 pm. The Saturday meeting runs from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

I am not a member of any gym right now, however a couple of years ago i was a Planet Fitness member. I moved and the Planet Fitness near my house was now 20 to 30 minutes away. I dreaded making that trip and all i really used was the treadmill anyway so I bought a treadmill for my home. Now I tried to cancel my membership 3 times, 1st i called and they said i had to come in. 2nd went in and they said i had to have a written letter. 3rd time I went in with my written letter and they told me the person that i needed to speak to was on vacation and I would have to come back. I left and went to my bank told them i lost my card and they replaced my card and I never heard from PF again.
I was worried it would show up on my credit report. it hasn't.
I live in Philadelphia as well. I go to meetings at Abington Memorial. I'm required to make a few appearances there since that's where my insurance says I need to have wls there. How are the meetings at Jefferson? I hear there are also active OA groups here too. Keep me posted if you find other meetings.
Hello everyone, I am just starting the process of looking into revising from my Realize Band to possibly the VSG. I'm just wondering if anyone that has Keystone Health Plan East HMO has been able to get their revision covered, or if there were any problems with Keystone covering it.
I hope that everyone is doing well, it's been a long time since I've posted on the boards.

I live in the Philadelphia area and had my surgery just 11 days ago at Jefferson. I'd love to attend some mtgs (outside of the ones Jefferson offers to their patients). Will there be any sort of gathering in the near future?

Just popping into the board for a monthly check in. Belated congratulations on your 7 year surgiversry. My 5 year surgiversary is coming up next week and I also am grateful every day for WLS. I would not be the woman I am today had I not taken this step. All though I have stepped away for now I will always be grateful for the support I received from this board and from the Barix community. So glad to hear that things are going well for you. I just want to encourage anyone who may be struggling, or who may be hesitating about even having this life-giving surgery. I had my RNY 7 years ago. I battled transfer addictions to alcohol and sex. I re-gained 45 pounds. And then... I found recovery and health once again. I am now at my lowest weight since the surgery, living a life that is happy, joyous and free. I am grateful every single day for my weight loss surgery, even with the struggles and challenges I've faced. I now have a lot of tools in my toolbox, but WLS is definitely one of the strongest. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you all for being part of my journey.
