The not eating doesn't bother me, it's the taste buds... They seem like went wacko on me..  I lost 6 lbs the first few days, and gained 2 back.   I'm on a liquid diet, I don't cheat, and I gained 2 lbs.  Those 6 I lost gave me a total of 37.5 that I have lost since new year's weekend.  I am happy on that and I cannot wait until next Wed.  Last night for supper, I wanted Chinese... lol.  I grabbed a coconut dannon light yogurt.  I have not found the sugar free popsicles and IF I did, I have 2 grandkids in the house who would bug n bug n bug n bug plus throw a fit until they got one....  gggggrrrrrrr    They have their snacks but they also want my snacks...

Jackie.

I had to do a 10 day liquid diet for my surgeon and I have to say that it was the hardest part of the entire process for me.  I wanted to kill people during that time (especially the first few days).  I would have given my right arm to eaten something during that time but I kept my eye on the prize.  I ended up losing 18 pounds during those 10 days which was a bonus.  You have come this far and you can see your goal.  Hang in there - it will get better.  I enjoyed suger free popsicles a lot at this time.

I will be there and am bringing a friend who is looking at having surgery at Bryn Mawr.  Told her what a great bunch we are.  Hoping that meeting some other WLS people will help to relieve her anxiety.

my taste buds are begging for something with flavor....   I feel like my sense of taste is vanishing.  1 more week of this... then the surgery, then 2 more wks of it....   Time is NOT moving fast enough for me.

Is this normal??

Sorry I am so late today.  I had an extremely busy day.  AA meeting, followed by taking a friend I drove to the meeting shopping.  Volunteer work in the afternoon.  Stopped at my sister's to drop of money and pick up something to make a cookie basket for a Chinese auction at the Special Olympics Dinner Bingo next week.  My evening was spent on the phone with my sister and sponsee.  She is going through very early recovery anger.  Keeps it really green for me.

So, now, I am watching my DVRed episode of NCIS.

Spread the word to all your PA friends that they don't need ID to vote on November 6th.

Hugs,
Trish

Mine started out boring....   I hate this rainy weather...

I am impatiently awaiting surgery day on the 10th...  Woohoo, 8 more days..... This waiting is going to kill me....

I didn't sleep too great lastnight,  trouble kept bugging me lastnight and ginger slept at my feet..  We have 2 cats.  I think trouble figures that IF he up, I have to be up...  Maybe I should sleep when he does.  He got his name because he is always into trouble...  As soon as I can go back to sleep, I'm going to do it...  Have to wait till hubby gets back from getting x-rays.  We have 2 grandkids here.... one 8 (home from school), other is 4.....

Good Morning Laureen and PA!!

Thanks for the continued good thoughts and support during this time. My family and I truly appreciate it!!

Today is just another day, work, going to the home to see my folks, then home to make dinner and such!

Just trying to keep strong and not think too long about it!

Love, Beth

The 1st Saturday Meeting at Barix is this coming Saturday, so please come by and share your WOW moments, as well as whatever else is on your mind.

The Place: 280 Middletown Boulevard, Langhorne, PA 19047
The time: 11:00 a.m. until approximately 1:30 p.m.

If you are celebrating a surgiversary, please bring any props (clothes worn prior to WLS, pictures), you will get 5 minutes to share what it was like, what it is like now and what you look forward to.

Normally we have a nutritionist at every meeting, however, this month they are attending a conference and won't be on hand.

We recognize that there are times when babysitting might be an issue, however, we really would appreciate not having small children there, as there are times people have a need to discuss things that having a small child there inhibits their ability to discuss things openly and also the children often are a distraction. Thank you for your understanding.

If you can't make it to our meeting this month, hope to see you soon!

Laureen
