Happy Belated 4th Surgiversary to Me!

Hello out there to all of my PA peeps,

I have been down Cape May and was unable to post on my surgiversary (6/24).  This past week has been one of deep filled gratitude and chief on that list is my WLS.  If it wasn't for this momentous event of 4 years ago I would never gotten to the point of actually liking myself.  What a freeing experience to be able to look in the mirror and actually like the person that I see.  It is like an albatross has been removed from my neck.

I am very thankful to all the people on the OH board both past and present who have walked this journey with me.  I hope to continue to be active on the board even as I begin my new job on 7/1.  This experience is way more than I hoped for and I am so, so thankful to my God and to all of you.

With much live and gratitude,

Donna

Donna,

You have made an amazing transformation, and your WLS journey was just part of the transformation.  You are a wonderful person and I am glad to call you a friend and I wish you well on Monday, I will call when I return from vacation, I might even make to Barix for First Saturday after all. . . as I think my daughters are leaving on Friday or very early on Saturday. . .  be well and enjoy the next phase of your journey!!!!

Much love, Laureen

Congratulations, and Happy Surgiversary, Donna.  I know the gratitude you speak of.  I feel that way every Summer.  My first consult with Dr. Marymor was on June 1st seven years ago.  My surgery was August 28th.  I am extremely grateful for all I have because of my surgery, not just the weight loss.

Keep up the great work.

Hugs,

Trish

Donna, I remember so well meeting you in the "pre op" support meeting 4 years ago. You were ahead of me by a few weeks. Over the years, I have appreciated your contributions and support meetings and now on the board more than you know. Your experience teaches us that losing weight doesn't solve all of the issues of everyday life....but prepares us to deal with them from a whole different perspective.

There is MUCH about you to like, and I hope you continue the discoveries of all that is good on this journey.

Best to you, Lynn

Lynn,

Thanks so much for your warm words.  I always admired how you came and wrote things down when we were at the support group meetings.  I miss seeing you but am happy that you continue to check in with the PA message board.  It is always good to see your smiling picture.  Hope that things aren't  too hot down in Florida for you and that Mike is doing okay.  I know that your surgiversary is coming up soon.  Take care.

Donna
