it went well yesterday.  I slept almost all day yesterday.  Hardly slept lastnight,  they gave me new meds and i slept all day today.

I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO sore it's not funny.  I got the drainage tube out today.  The sites look icky to me.

I can't wait for this pain to leave so I can do more moving around,.  How long will my belly be sore??

The belly sore?  what kind of sore?  at the site of surgery?  usually it is best to move around, as you can, it helps alleviate any gas that has built up as a result of the surgery process. . .  the soreness of the surgical wounds, varies, sometimes it takes several weeks, particularly with the one where the main instrument was put in.  All in all, it will be well worth it. . .  glad you are doing well.

yeah from where the instruments were....  I have a belly support belt for it.  I gained 12 lbs from the surgery....  I hope this is normal...  Other than the pain from the instruments, I feel fine.  Made a shake today.  out of 4 oz, I think I got down 1 oz down.

The walking does help the gas leave, and ease the pressure.  The weight gain is normal, and will leave.  The weight is from the fluids you were given during the surgery.  It will pass.

Just keep walking and sipping.  As much as possible.

Welcome to the Losers Bench.

Welcome to the loser's bench!! I'm sorry for the pain you are feeling, hopefully you will get past it quickly. Try to walk as much as you can and drink as much water as possible. I didn't have a drain but I remember the soreness and  with what felt like a sloshing of my guts inside....ew....but with time things got better.

TY.  I drink as much as I can tolerate.   I can get 2 16.9 oz bottles of water down.  The swelling of my belly went down a lil bit.  My surgeon told me NO scales until I see her on the 22nd.  I walk in the house.  I swept the kitchen floor last night when everyone else was in bed.  They never do what I expect from them at all..  They are all afraid that they will do something more than the other, so stuff doesn't get done.

I slept in bed lastnight and it felt good. I figured out how to get out of bed to where it doesn't hurt so much.  So far today, I managed to get one shake down. it took 2 sittings and a yogurt. again 2 sittings.

I've been a bit tired today and trying to rest with a 6 yr old who can't sit and be quiet is hard.  His dad went to ER to see IF he can stuff for the pain in his teeth.  He has 2 teeth that has to get pulled. Dentist only gave him Penicillin for his teeth but no pain killers.
