Liquid diet starts today - and I miss my coffee!

Hello, Pennsylvania!

It's a beautiful Friday morning...  It's the last day of the school year for me and my girls... and I am ready to start the 10 day liquid diet!

I'm pretty sure this thing gets worse before it gets better but I'm ready... 

My question is...  

Does anyone have a particular coffee flavored protein drink that they like - and is there a legal way to flavor it so that it tastes like hazelnut or french vanilla?  Or, is there a way to add protein powder to decaf and then flavor it?

I miss my coffee already...

All the prep before surgery will be worth it!! I was lucky and didn't have to do the 10 day liquid diet, I think I only did the three day. Many people drink Click coffee drink. I believe it does have protein and I have heard that it is good. You can go to the restaurant store on Bristol Pike to get SF hazelnut or French vanilla. They are usually 5 or 6 dollars per. 

I think you can order Clck online, not sure where though!

Thanks, Beth!  I'm going to find the SF syrups. SO FAR it's not the food that I miss, it's definitely the coffee!!

 Click is coming out with a decaf protein powder.....  

There are tons of sugar free syrups that you can get.  Torani and DaVinci make them.  You can find them online, at a restaurant supply store and at some other stores.  I think Home Goods carries them.  I usually go to Netrition   http://www6.netrition.com/cgi/prices.cgi?manu_id=121  for online ordering b/c shipping is $4.95 no matter what.

Coffee mate makes sugar free creamers, too.. I'd die without my coffee.........

Hi Lisa...  I checked out neitrition... There are so many options and places to order from.... It's really, really helpful that all of you fine folk have walked this path before and have great ideas and good resources...  Click has caffeine, true?

 currently Click is LOADED with caffeine so don't touch it.. at least not yet.  But, the decaf is available but heavily backordered.  I prefer the vanilla in the regular one, but if you are a mocha fan that is the one they are making in decaf first. 

That's what I figured...  I know you're a caffeine drinker and click is your drink of choice...  I'll for sure stay away for now!

Somebody just told me that muscle milk now has a caffeinated protein powder similar to Click. I think they have a decaf too... I keep meaning to stop at Vitamin shop and check.

Lauren.. I use Starbucks via decaf crystals, milk, ho****er and chocolate flavored protein every morning.... 2.5 years and counting and it is still my go to morning protein insurance policy!

be careful with ho****er with the protein powders though.. they can "curdle". I put quite a bit of milk to ho****er and then heat in the micro 10-15 seconds at a tine..

Thanks!  I'll be heading to starbucks for via decaf crystals... I picked up syntrax chocolate, vanilla and fuzzy navel protein powder at Barix when I was there last week...  and I'm about to use a decaf pod for the keurig...  I'll wait til it's good and cool before I add the protein powder.  Don't be silly about coming to see me at Barix -- I would LOVE to see you -- but only if you're not super busy...
