Wild Wednesday Roll Call

GM PA!

Oh my what a noisy and wild night.  Thunder/Lighting...rain....I'm hoping the rain is over for a bit, I'd like to get outside to take a walk at lunch.

Back to work yesterday what a day!!!!!!  One fire after another to put out.  I had an appointment off campus for the banquet and had to leave the office without addressing the last crisis, I had all the folks in place that I needed but I hate leaving things unfinished especially when it deals with a member and their care.

I did have a wonderful day yesterderday.  My cube is all decorated with graduation stuff, one of my co-workers brought me a beautiful boquet of flowers and bagels to share with our department.  Then I was on the phone working with a providers looked up and my entire department was by my cube staring at me - my boss said how dare you work LOL

The cake was beautiful and their gift to me - I was so touched by all that was going on.

Today I'm working till 4ish.  Then home to get some wash done and start cleaning up what I can in this house.  I'm so sick of my horders room where everything just does not seem to have a place at this time.  I also have to start working on Gene's website and start cleaning up my resume just in case a position is posted that I might be interested in.

I also need to start addressing the pounds that I've put on working on this degree.  Time to get them off I have a wedding coming up!!!!!

Love, hugs, and prayers going out to Beth and Lisa....

Hope you all have a wonderful day

Ida

Good morning Ida and PA friends - haven't had a chance to check in for a while - life has been crazy busy down here in Florida, but it should be calming down soon (hopefully!). Between working, putting the house together, and entertaining friends and family we honestly haven't had much down time yet. Not complaining, though - am loving life down here.

We had storms in the area last night as well - I thought they were 'big' but am told that these were nothing compared to what we can get. We have sun tunnels in the main area of the house and when the lightening comes through them it's really wild. Poor dog was in his thundershirt most of the night because of the noise.

Since coming down here I've lost 12 pounds! I'm thrilled with that and am hoping to continue losing - I'm much more active because I have the time to be more active - I'm not cooking as much or eating as much, and definitely not 'grazing' like I was doing at work, so it's all adding up - I get up every morning and take a nice walk with the dog - haven't had a chance to get on my bike yet but that will come. Haven't been to our pool yet either - like I said, life has been a little crazy since getting here.

I miss you all - Lisa, I'm so sorry for all of the things you're dealing with with your daughter - I hope she gets the help she needs and please don't beat yourself up - I know you're a good mother - sending prayers your way. Ida, so happy for you and your graduation and the celebration from your co-workers -that's awesome!! I hate to ask but how is the house coming?

I'll check in from time to time...hope everyone else is doing well.

Kathy

Congratulations on the weight loss, and so glad to hear you are really settling into life in Florida!

The house is the house.  Still living in the bedroom.  We do have 4 working bathrooms in various stages of completion.  The family room still looks like an episode of horders as does the bedroom.  I'm frustrated with not having a house to live in, angry that this ******* raped us of our home.  The good news is that my son-in-laws cousin has been slowly working on the house, he's done all the tile work in the bathrooms and basement and we have the designs and tile we wanted as well as all the bathrooms designed by myself and Gene not some snooty interior designer that didn't listen to what we actually wanted.  Our son-in-law does what he can on the weekends along with his cousin.  Hopefully by this coming Christmas and if not maybe next Christmas we might actually be able to bring our stuff out of storage and into the house.

The blessing in all this is that we are ending up with the house we envisioned rather than the house that low life would have left us with had he not abandoned the house.  It's no longer flooding in the house when it rains, God is good!

Good morning Ida, Kathy and anyone else who ventures over here.  I have already had a nice morning.  I got to talk with a really good friend of mine on the way in to work.  Those conversations really do help get my day started.  And as for the storms - I heard NADA!!!!!  I love my meds sometimes!  The one I take for the bi-polar - knocks me out.  I was checking on facebook this morning and so many people were posting about being up during the storms......not me! it is amazing that I heard NOTHING.

Ida - I am so happy that your colleagues value you and your accomplishments so much.  It must be a nice work environment.

Kathy - I am so glad that you are already reaping all the benefits of Florida.  Enjoy!  You so deserve it!

Today - I am at school - or as I lovingy like to call it - PARADISE!  After school I am going to run.  Then tonight Larry and I are spending time with FB Hubby and wife.

That is all for me - Happy Wednesday all!

 Good Morning Ida and PA!

I am really dragging this morning. We went to Dee's spring concert last night and we left before the end of the concert because it was WAY too long. Not to sound conceded but my students can play circles around what I heard last night. Even the so called "advanced" students sounded like beginners. The band was not playing together and the tuning was off, torturous to me! The part that Dee was in was cute and what was expected for third grade.

Today I have school, then detention for a couple of students who decided to disrespect me. Then flying out the door to take the girls to the LAST Wednesday Hebrew school for the school year!! I need to pick up a couple of teacher gifts. I was hoping to pick up one for her teacher since she won't be there on Sunday for the last day. Oh well, I will bring them on Sunday.

Lisa, hugs to you and know that I am thinking about you!
My Dad is doing better and may be released on Friday! Thank you for all of your positive thoughts and prayers.

Love, Beth
