another roadblock

6 yrs of trying, all I get are road blocks.
I am beginning to think that this is not for me.  21 lbs down since new years.  only way to get this weight off and keep it off is to have the surgery.  

Med A,    got it
Med B,  don't got it  
Medical assistance, assets too high
Private insurance, won't touch me cause of Med A.

Surgery covered through Med A  
all appts leading up to it, NOT covered.... that's approx $48k....  

ONLY way to get medical assistance is to divorce my husband and move out of house. 

I give up....

I hate to see the words "I give up."

Insurance coverage is one of the worst hurdles of WLS. My heart goes out to you.

But I certainly wouldn't scoff at losing 21 lbs. since the first of the year. That is a SIGNIFICANT loss!

Some here have dealt with self pay situations, medicaid, etc. and I hope they will chime in.

I love the fact that I lost that much weight since new years.  

The surgery itself is covered.....  It's the professional and pre-surgery appts that are not covered and there is no way that I can self-pay on these.  

We talked to our local state rep, called various agencies, nothing.  no one can help.
