Anyone who has had an RNY at IMBS @ abington....

 Did you stay overnight or 2 nights for an uneventful surgery??  Just curious.  

I had it done at Abington 3 years ago and I went in on a Tuesday and came home on Saturday because of muyage and I had diabetes. I had Dr. Bonnani and he was great. I got throughnit withflying colors and I was 61 yrs.old.gOOD lUCK AND i HOPE EVERYTHING GOES WELL FOR YOU.

 Thank you Apple!  I am glad it went so well for you!  I called the office this am and found out I should actually be out late the next day if there are no issues.  A new Dr there, Dr Noonan is doing my RNY.  I can't wait :o)

keep in touch and let me know how you do . you won't be sorry you went to Abington  I know quite a few people that went there. I can't believe it has been 3 years for me. I thought it would never come. The weight came off fast. I lost about 100lbs. I'm trying to loose about another 20 lbs. and I would be happy. But now it seems to be a little harder I have to really stick on a strick diet. It's not a quick fix. It's pretty neat , when you start getting complements from people. It's funny when people start seeing you that you might not see for awhile they didn't even know who I was. , They knew me by my voice. That's why I really watch cause I don't want to let myself gain it back cause I hear that and see it on obesity help and i am paranoid of that happening to me. and I like all the complments.'

I had my surgery there also, and Dr. B. was my doctor also.  My surgery was on a Monday, and I went home late Wed.  You will not be sorry you chose that group, they are great.  I was 60 at the time also, and everything went great. Do keep us updated as was already mentioned.  Get ready for the ride of your life.
