No Sleep Sunday Roll Call

GM PA!!

I got very little sleep and have been up since about 3:30. I tried several things to get back to sleep, but nothing worked! So, I am sipping my coffee and took my meds. Yesterday I got ALOT done! Cleaning, laundry,errands, bills,made a pot of meatballs and sauce. I guess I did too much so I have been wound up ever since!?!?

Today is the Chanukah celebration at the synogogue. I am hoping to get a family picture done while there. Haven't had one done since we were in disney over a year ago...They are going to have a lot of activities for everyone. It should be fun! After that I will definitely need a nap! The rest of the day is up in the air....

Good Morning Pa,
Beth I am right there with you in the "no sleep zone".  I have been awake for hours, I guess mine to be more the domestic drama I am going through.  You do sound like maybe you did so much yesterday that maybe you were to wound up to sleep well.  I hope you are able to enjoy the day with your family, and then maybe get some rest.
Today is off to church with the family, then I will disappear to the casino while the other grandparents come for a visit with the grands.  Dinner will be left over chili from the crock pot that we made yesterday.(it was really good).

Good Morning Beth;

So sorry to hear you cannot sleep!  There are times that my ability to fall asleep is annoying then when I read you and Ena's posts I'm thankful that I can fall asleep when I'm tired.  Gene is like you guys, he can stay up till all hours of the night once wound up, then crashes at some point the next day or so.

Yesterday got the beef stew done and baked two SF pumpkin pies.  I tried using a different stevia in the pumpkin pie, Gene says it's not sweet enough, my son in law this morning says it's awesome...I'm somewhere in between....Will give this new stevia another try, but if still not sure will go back to splenda.

Have to run out to Giant to pick up some Italian or crusty bread for lunch so the guys can have the beef stew, they had to smell it all day yesterday simmering in the crock pot but didn't get to try it so today this will be their lunch :-)

I also have to complete the PP I have to do tomorrow night and get a jump on the 8 page paper.  I am so over this marketing class, just want it to end.  There was so much out of class time that we had to arrange this really was a tough class to have going up to the holidays.  Also not really looking forward to the next class which starts on my New Year holiday day that I have off from work.  I am so ready for school, and the house to be back in one piece.

We did find in the last rain that there is a new leak in the house, this one is coming from the roof, so might have to bring in a structural engineer, waiting for our lawyer to let us know what he wants us to do, but it has to be fixed otherwise there will be major damage to not only the second floor but also the first and basement floor as the water pours down the wall....

All I can say is WHAT A YEAR and it's not over yet a few more weeks to go...

Good Morning Beth and PA, 

I am so tired, but feeling a whole lot better.  I volunteered at our community's Code Blue last night.  Code Blue is an interfaith ministry to get the homeless off the street on the bitter cold nights.  Different churches volunteer their buildings for emergency shelter.  We provide cots, bedding, and a light meal.  I helped in the kitchen last night.  I got home around 11:00 last night, and I was so wound up, it took me several hours to wind down.  I signed up for a several more nights, including Christmas night.  My kids will be at their Dad's that night.  I am hosting Christmas dinner for my family the day after Christmas.  They don't call Code Blue every night, just the nights when it is supposed to be a certain temperature.

Anyway, I am heading to church this morning.  Then, home to watch my Eagles, even though the season is pretty much over for them.  I heard there is the slimmest possibility of redeeming themselves, if certain teams lose so many games.  

Then, after the game, I am taking my sister out to dinner for her birthday.  There is a family run Italian restaurant here in Bristol, PA that I want to take her to.  It will not be as crowded as the chains up by the mall, which will be mobbed because of Christmas shoppers.

Good late morning all. I am having a totally lazy day and I've earned it. I've spent the last few weeks readying the house to show so today is truly a day of rest. Well except for two small loads of laundry and that's almost done.

We showed the house yesterday to our neighbors brother and his fiancé. They loved the house - now let's hope they loved it enough to want to buy it.

My friend Alysann came down last night and today we're heading to Seven Stars for our annual holiday dinner with other friends. Something we've been doing for years and even tho some of our group has moved away we still get together for this.

That's my day - hope you all enjoy the day - I know I'm going to!!
