Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning all - Ida - hope the rain isn't an issue for you today - and hopefully you can catch a cat nap somewhere along the way today.

Laureen, I love your attitude!! Even with back issues and all you always manage to see the bright side of things - awesome!

Liz, no Target runs today?? LOL...

Lisa - no stressing over the Bat Mitzah - it will all come together and go off wonderfully - this is such a special time in your daughter's life that you need to enjoy it as well.

As for me I'm at work - I got a good nights sleep which I will attritube to getting on my exercise bike last and getting in a decent ride considering I'm just starting up again - rode it Monday night as well but didn't get to far - last night I went twice as long, so hoping to bump it up each night. I had considered not taking my bike when we move but now I've decided the Florida room will be a perfect place for it, especially since it's heated and air conditioned.

As for the Florida house things are moving along. Today hubby and I have to run out and get a promissory note notarized for the money my brother's gf is loaning us; I have to send the escrow deposit off to the title company; scheduled the home inspection yesterday and that will be this coming Monday - my sister, brother-in-law and realtor will all there there; and waiting on a few insurance companies for quotes on homeowner's insurance. Still gathering documentation for the loan but I'm almost there with that...so things are falling into place. I'm trying not to stress over all this but it's hard sometimes.

And today we're having a lunch meeting to review an upcoming off-site meeting and the it's 'All About Kathy' segment - LOL - my boss threw that one in there so I can share with my co-workers what is going on with our move to Florida - I even put a little slideshow together of the area we're moving to and the new house. Should be fun!

To everyone heading to Barix tonight have a great time - I miss those meetings so much - it's just so far to go but I definitely want to get at least one or two more Saturday visits in there before I head south. There is a bariatric center of excellence in Daytona so that makes me happy and maybe I can find a good support group there.

The only part I am really worried about is the money aspect of it all... seriously.  I have all the confidence in the world that Siehara will do beautifully and that she will have a lot of fun at the party at night.

I am SOOOOO lucky to have found ALL of my OH friends, but one in particular is helping me out a great deal with the dinner menu by providing the protein free of charge to me.  I can never repay or thank him enough.

Karma can be a good thing.  I treat others with respect and do for them in ways that I can and am finding out how it is paying me back when I need it most.

Love you all!!

I've never been to a Bat Mitzah (or Bar for that matter) but I understand they are huge celebrations and can be quite expensive - that's wonderful that you have someone helping out so much. I know the day is going to be wonderful for both of you!

They can definitely be very expensive.  BUT, I am doing all the cooking (with the help of friends) and that is helping to keep the costs down significantly.  We are also keeping it as small as possible.  In this instance, I guess it's good that I don't have a large blood family, though maybe there would have been more funds available if I did.

It is going to be a fantastic day and I'm so proud of her!

Kathy,

I am sooooo excited for you and now I will have yet another friend in Florida, in addition to my daughters and older grandchildren. . .  I take it you are moving somewhere near Daytona and when I am in Florida, we often go to New Symryna Beach, there's a great restaurant somewhere near there the Dolphin or something, they have great fish, boats that go fishing and it's right on the water, so you can eat and watch the dolphins at play. . . I'd be happy if I could one day retire there, who knows what the future has in store. . .  as for my attitude, thanks, but I've learned that it's too easy to look at the difficulties and let them make your life difficult, easier to combat it and say, no I won't let you bring me down, but I have my moments and that is when I count on my friends and I truly have AA, which has given me my sobriety, to thank for the attitude I've learned to cultivate.  I am grateful, if not achey this morning (lol). . .

Hugs and best wishes and please do come to Barix soon, miss you. . .

Laureen

The name of the town we're moving to is Port Orange, but it's right next to Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Ormond, etc. - they're all very close together. It's so laid back in that area (except for Bike Week, NASCAR races and Biketoberfest!) - but I won't be attending those and can avoid the areas they're in when that's going on. We're moving into a quiet little 55+ community - seemed very serene and peaceful - exactly what we need after our long commute and busy life here - and yes, I have a spare room, so come on down!!

Thanks Ida, the way things are going, I can spend a good 10 days and not stay in one place for more than one (lol). . .  my daughter's b/f's family lives in Ormond, I know those areas well as I've been going to Florida now for the past 31 years, sheesh I'm getting old. . .

 Good Morning Ida,
I am pretty tired this morning, and only have to get my foot x-rayed today.  Mom wants to go to the Salvation Army.  I may ask her to drop me off at the hospital to get the x-ray while she shops.  They are close to each other.

Other than that, I will be hanging loose.

Hugs,
Trish
