Good Morning PA:

Rain, Rain, and more Rain, enough said.

Today I'm planning to try to get some writing completed for school.  So far I have not been able to sit to write much for my papers.  Just not ready to start yet, but Monday is my last night for this class so I have to ge tthis done and have to find it within myself to do it. 

Nothing else really planned for today.  Hoping for this rain to end...

Good Morning Ida & PA -

Ida I hope that you can get your paper written!

I am at work today, seriously debated calling out sick. I was up most of the night with a very upset pouch and some other issues. Not sure if it was from the pain killer I took for my back or something else. Luckily my BFF is an awesome nurse and appeases my late night texts  :). I did go to the Dr for my back yesterday - left with a script for an MRI and the name of a back specialist. As soon as the insurance pre certifies the MRI I'll make both appts. AFter work today making a quick stop at Borders then home to make dinner and hang with Mia.

Ida, I am thinking about you and ALL this rain! I cringe for you everytime I hear the rain!!

I just found out that my daughter's school district is on a 2 hour delay! I have to wait for before care to open then go to work late! Luckily I am not teaching yet, but I hate to be late on the third day of school!! Not much I can do about it! I am glad that I checked the local news on the computer or I would have never known! I already sent an email to my principal letting him know, but I will call the school in a bit to cover myself!!

Wor****il 3:30 then home to relax, pick up the child, homework, dinner,  shower, bed! The cat is STILL meowing at night! I do not know what is up with that?!?!

Hi Ida and all of PA - Bad night, even worse morning and here I am at school trying to fake it!

I am very much over the rainy weather...it is starting to affect my
mood..siiigh. Also I am a bit flabbergasted at the rain delays for the
school...as one of my friends on FB posted "What do they mean a
rain delay?? What is this baseball??" LOL But really hope
everyone stays safe on the roads today...

As for me..I got nothing going on. I'm going to jump in the shower, put on fresh pjs and read. In between I will do laundry and the dishes
until hubby comes home. Then he needs to move my nightstand out of the bedroom so we have someplace to put the bassinet. I'm tired of tripping over the thing. Our bedroom is tiny sooo my nightstand has to be moved.

That's it for me...I am wishing and praying for some sun...my house is damp and everything is yuk outside...sigggh I really am beginning to hate this weather..lol

Good morning Ida and PA.  I havent commented much on the problems you are having with your brother, Ida, but I have been following along.  I think it is best to just move on and live your own wonderful life and leave all that other bull**** behind.  "Living well is the best revenge!"  Live well and be happy.
So I noticed that a lot of you say "call out of work today" when you describe missing a day of work.  Is that a Phiily area thing, because everyone over here would say "call off of work today?"  Just wondering.
I hat it when I forget my cell phone at home like I did today.  Its sad but I feel really disconnected and kinda naked without it.  But, now that I think of it, "naked and disconnected" might not be that bad.  Haha.

Ok, thats enough ramblings out of me.  I will talk to you all later.

Call off.....call out...?

In the Midwest, we called IN sick.

If you were called OUT on something, it meant that you were confronted about something you did.

And nobody called OFF for anything.

Hi Swede;
Thank you.  I know I'll be good to go one day, the deep hurt is what is tough for me right now.  I have Gene how is wonderful, insightful, and loves me.  I have comforting words from Dr. Marion Lindblad-Goldberg Ph.D., LMFT,  who is a very dear friend that the wound will heal in time, time is the key word.  I have to wait for the time to pass.  Marion also suggested I channel my anger into the GC and the house and fighting that.  I think that might be a very good suggestion.

Talking to my friends helps with this.  I was talking to a very dear friend from work yesterday, she said, "Ida you sound like you but you do not sound likeYOU".  I was telling Gene what she said, he said yes, you sound like you without the big beautiful smile that was always there.....

Call out of work today is sort of like "soda" and "pop", "sneakers" and "tennis shoes"  One of my other dear friends at work is from the Pittsburgh area she is always teasing me about the different uses and meanings we have here on the eastern side of PA, as I tease her about the western side of PA..

Good soggy morning again, PA peeps - Ida we're all praying for this rain to STOP - for you especially with the house issues - for the rest of us it's just getting damn depressing!

I woke up at 4:00 missing a little furball and found him in the closet hiding under my clothing - I thought I heard thunder in the distance - his hearing is much keener than mine. Around 5 I woke up with a raging headache so I took 2 tylenol, grabbed Jude's thundershirt and got it on him and back in bed with us, then he settled down and went to sleep. That thing is amazing! It calms him right down. We got up late and came in to work late.

Lots on my mind these days - my BFF put the idea in my head that hubby and I could probably afford to buy the house we're looking at in Florida and just tighten our belts for a few months until we sell up here. The house we want was just reduced $24,100 so it is priced right now - is it everything we want - just have to wrap my head around being able to afford 2 houses!!

And that's about it for me - I'm at work - wearing a fall outfit because I'm tired of freezing in here every day. BRRRR...

OK - everybody pray for sunny weather!!
