Finally Friday

Good morning PA.  It's finally friday. Didn't think it would have ever gotten here.  Not sure what the weekend will bring for me.  I broke down and went to a resale shop a few town over (about 20 minute drive)  I got 5 pairs of pants and 4 tops.  I was so excited.  It was bag day so it was all only $5.00.  All the money they collect goes to help local families in need.  On a serious note.  I"ve been having dizzy spells as well as some other issues.  Please if anyone has dizziness and it won't go away please get it checked.  Hope everyone has a great weekend.   Sandy

Good Morning Pa,
Sandy I have trouble with the dizzies off and on, I think the longest it has lasted is 4 days.  My daughter (a nurse) thought it was not enough****er, but increasing it did not help.  She next figured maybe it was a vitamin thing.  I don't know, haven't had the trouble in about a month or so.  Hope yours clears up.
Yesterday we rode all the water rides that my youngest grand child was large enough to ride, and he finally realized what goggles are for.  Today we will start out the day in the amusement park, riding all the water rides, then over to the water park once more to finish out the day.  I did get my cardie work out yesterday climbing those stairs repeatedly, dragging a double tube along.  I have been eating better out of necessity.  Vitamin have been hard to get in, as I don't want to put them in the bag to take along because of the heat.
The heat is supposed to continue to climb here, so I am sure the water park will be the destination for the weekend.  Hope everyone has a fun weekend.  Prayers for those who are struggling with issues.
Ida if you want to give your CG an Angie's List rating let me know I will give you my password, you can give him a review.
Lisa get some rest, two jobs will have you running in circles if you don't.
Nan you are in my prayers and thoughts as always.

Good Morning!

Yes, it is finally Friday, and I have class tonight until 10 pm.  This is going to be  a long night......

Working till 4 then to class.

My son-in-laws cousin is going to do the floor in the basement kitchen for us over the weekend.  He took a look around the house and looked at the tile work the GC has already begun.  He told Gene that tile should never be laid directly on a wood floor because wood moves and affects the integrity of the tile which will eventually crack because of the movement of the wood.  Of course the GC laid the tile directly on the wood floor in the master bath, now I'm worried that over time with the old iron claw foot tube that will be sitting on that floor, that alone weighs 300-400 pounds and when filled with water will weight a heck of a lot more.  Now we have that information so going forward, Gene is going to let the GC know that he can pay my SIL's cousin what is in the contract allowance for tile and then Gene willl make a side agreement with him for a bit extra since he's willing to do this for us.  Not sure if the GC will go for that, he has this God complex where he actually told Gene that he is God and the alpha male, so with us finding someone that will probably affect his God complex badly.

On the positive note, once this kitchen floor is done we can put in the new countertop and cabinets in that room and get one room back to "normal".  Gene and I really need something "normal" in our house at this point.  We are going to have to get the SIL over with his circular saw, Gene's tools are all packed in the shed, no way to figure out where without unpacking the entire shed so to cut the countertop we need a big circular saw so have to find out when Eddie will be available to come over to help with that.

Hope everyone has a great day.....

Good Morning All

Be careful with those dizzy spells! When does it happen? When you stand up? Moving around etc? After carbs? How far out are you?

Well I am at work early so I can leave early! Looking to leave around 2, race home to get Mia ready. My Mom is picking us up around 3 to head up to my Grandfather's for the weekend. We are having a family fishing tournament at their pond, I plan to take the prize! lol OK so it is just bragging rights for the next year but I'll take it!

Have a great weekend all!

Good Morning!

Sandy--Hope the dizzy spells go away or you can figure out a cause for them..I know I tend to get a bit dizzy or light headed if I don't eat approx every two hours...could be low blood sugar??

Ida-I feel so bad for you with that horrid GC...hopefully everything will get on track and you and Gene can enjoy your home!!

Liz--Win big at your fishing tournament!!! :-)

Ena--Have a blast at the water park!! Sounds fun!!

As for me today is a quiet one...Hubby's oldest just left for work so right now it is me and the doggy and the kitties...very quiet! AHHH

This afternoon hubby has to drive to Philly to pick up his other daughter for the weekend. I will be straightening the house and running some errands..need to hit Wal-Mart and pick up some DREFT so I can start washing all the baby clothes and etc!!

Then I will be working on my next ACT 48 class and then just relaxing here at home..not getting more than a couple of hours of sleep at night due to the Lil Sweet Pea moving and my being uncomfortable..so a nap will probablly be in order at some point today!!

Have a great Friday everyone!!!!

Much luv!

Morning all.. Sandy, definitely get the dizziness checked out.  I was going through it and was dehydrated.  I switched from water to Powerade Zero to get the electrolytes, as well as the water.  It could be anything, though, so get to the doctor please.

Today has me working til 3:30.  After work, I'm heading up to Tanya's where she is making dinner and then we will head out to karaoke.  I can't wait to see her and the family!

Nothing else going on here except trying to organize my finances.

Everyone have a good day.

BTW, if anyone is coming to town for Musikfest let me know.  Maybe I can meet up with you.

Good morning all - yes, Friday seemed a long time coming this week. Not that I have much planned for the weekend, but it will be nice to not have to hit the snooze alarm and wake up on my own!

Good deal on the clothes, Sandy - I was very fortunate that a good friend was giving me 'transition' clothing as I was losing - and what I didn't have I filled in with from places like TJ Maxx and Marshalls - mostly their clearance racks where you can get stuff for $3 or $4. Take care of those dizzy spells, too.

My husband has to have an ultrasound and biopsy on his prostate on 8/16. He sees the specialist every 4 months because his PSA readings tend to be high - doctor puts him on an antibiotic and they come down, but this time they only dropped 1 point, so he wants a biopsy. Hubby tells me not to worry - I'm trying not to but it is definitely on my mind. His brother had prostate cancer.

Talked to my sister last night - she's my main source of info on my brother's treatments because he really can't talk now - the day after chemo he tends to get very sick, but the anti-nauseau meds seem to help, and he's better the next day, but he is very tired from the radiation and right now his voice is almost gone. I'm going to pick up some funny cards to send to him from time to time to try and keep his spirits up.

That's about it for me - I'll be packing more stuff up in the house this weekend for the yard sale in October - my younger sister said she'll take my mom's good china, so that's a blessing - I'll pack that up for her. Another friend wants to buy some furniture for a house she just bought in Florida, so I think I'll take pictures of the pieces I want to sell and price them. Maybe doing all that will keep my mind off my husband and brother's health issues.

Take care all - Kathy
