ATTENTION PHILADELPHIA RESIDENTS: Consumer Advisory Group in Philadelphia Seeking...
The department’s work in this area centers on the city-wide initiative, "Get Healthy Philly," which is intended to reduce and prevent obesity through:
- Increased access to healthy affordable food
- Decreased consumption of unhealthy food
- Increased opportunities for physical activity
Members of the advisory group will play an important role in making sure that the work of the department is grounded in the experience of real people affected by obesity and is responsive to their needs. The scope and structure of the group is still in development, but individuals would ideally commit to a minimum of three meetings in a central location in Philadelphia in the next 10 months.
