Cystoscopy Today

I have my pre-radiation procedure today. They are checking to make sure the ureters are wide enough so that radiation will not close them up. If they are not wide enough they will insert stents. During this procedure they are also taking several tiny biopsies from the bladder and urinary tract.

I have to be there at 11:15 and could be there up to 4 hours. Monday starts my first radiation treatment.

Yesterday they tattooed me for the radiation treatment.

I am bringing my own snack for when I wake up. I learned my lesson at Einstein. Luckily at Einstein the nurse gave me her hard boiled egg from her own lunch. Hospitals only have graham crackers and cookies. They think this is suitable food after fasting.

Some days your the dog and some days your the hydrant.

The last time I donated blood they actually had pretzels to go along with the cookies, but no sugar free drinks. Live and learn.
