Still Hot Sunday Roll Call

Good Morning PA;

Looks as if the weather might be cooling down to the 90's today.  Still hot out there, I poked my nose out the front door and it's still humid and nasty out there.

Last night had a wonderful dinner with a very dear friend from Texas that is up making her rounds to visit family and friends.  We met her at the Chilis by the KOP mall.  So nice catching up we see each other face to face about once a year or so.  Gene and I would like to get to Texas to vist her, maybe after I graduate in May - we shall see.

Today I'm up and working on my paper, then heading to church.  Gene is the worship leader this morning.  After church we are having a picnic.  I had planned to make German Potatoe Salad, but still do not have the ability to have my pot and pans in the house so we had to buy some yesterday.  No were near as good as my homemade but it will have to do.  When I volunteered to make it over 5 weeks ago, had figured I'd have been able to have my pots and pans in the house by now.  Since the GC really has not done any significant finishing work on the inside of the house in those 5 weeks, so aggrivating.

AFter church we will be stopping to see Gene's mom for a bit, then home for me to complete this project for tomorrow.

Good Morning Ida and PA!

Still a bit yucky out there today...siiigh. I am over this extreme heat now and would like it to just go back to being normal hot...lol

Today has me and the Hubby heading over to church and then we have to pick up some carrots because we forgot them yesterday. Hubby is making me SF glazed carrots to go with our ham tonight for dinner--yummo!

Today I am on housecleaning mission...we did so much running around yesterday that by the time we got home I was exhausted and fell asleep for two hours...so today I clean.  Other than that just staying out of the heat...and gettting ready for my last 4 days of teaching summer school this week--yay!!! After that no more driving to Philly for a loooong while...lol

I will probablly work on the next module for my ACT 48 course..trying to knock that course out before weeks end and that is about it for my non exciting Sunday!

Hi everyone! Yes, it's still hot but hey - the 90's is lower than the 100's!

Should be a quiet day for us. We have church later on, then Mike needs to go in to work for a while. I will be working on some writing for my class on Wednesday. This will feed into my August writing class so it is a fairly major piece - I worked on it a good while yesterday and probably have about 2 sentences worth keeping.

We'll probably pick up some steamed shrimp for dinner - I don't feel like cooking much.

Tomorrow is back to work and my 2 yr. appt. at Barix so wish me luck!

Good Morning Ida,
I was up earlier, but fell asleep for a little while.  I am getting ready to head out to church.  I am taking a friend from AA with me, because she does not have a ride to her church this morning, and she can't drive.

After church I have to stop and get some groceries in for my sis-in-law the newlywed.  They are coming home tomorrow, and I don't want them to have to worry about grocery shopping right when they get home.

I then have the Phillies game, and an AA meeting on the rest of my agenda for the day.

 afternoon all.. I had to get up early this morning to perform my duty on a committee that cares for the deceased before they are buried.  I took care of that and then came home and laid back down.  Now, I am up hoping that the sun comes back out.  I am seeing scattered showers all over the forecast and I wanted to hang by the pool all day today.  

For now, I am watching some movie I DVR'd and working on my couponing for the week.  

Tonight is choir, if I get there.  I may be getting company later, so my attendance at choir will be determined by that arrival.

I saw afternoon because it is 2:30pm! Went out last night with my peeps to Parx Casino. Actually we were at Chickie and Pete's for part of the time then we went over to the dance club (yes inside the casino) and hung out there. This place is HUGE!!!

Today, I am probably going to go to the store to pick up a few things then come back home. Do laundry and who knows what else?? I am a little out of sorts being that I didn't get to bed until around 3am!! SO unusual for me!

Afternoon all - I'm late checking in today as well. Hubby did the fold shopping for me since it www a short list and I cleaned. Between yesterday and today got all the hardwood floors done and they look fantastic - wish they would stay that way! Also rolled up som area rugs for the summer and decluttered a bit more.

Still debating on what to do for dinner - really thinking we'll order out. I am not in the mood to cook. I know it means going out in the heat but it still beats cooking, right??
