Deviations from the Plan

So, I'm still hoping that if I post honestly about what I am eating, I will see my way to changing it and find the way that really works for me.

Yesterday's plan got altered, as it does on most days.  I didn't make the taco bake because I didn't have all the ingredients at home that I needed.  I made chili.  I had chili with noodles for dinner.  Looking back, I should have omitted the noodles, as they are something I typically eat more of than "allowed".  I also added cucumber/tomato salad, which wasn't in my plan but was sitting in my fridge and I pulled it out at dinner time.

Last night's planned snack was watermelon.  Well, somebody finished that before I got home from work.  Instead, I ate one piece of SF chocolate.

That's the truth.

Today's plan:
B - ham/egg/cheese on english muffin, coffee
L - stouffer's fish filet/mac&cheese frozen dinner with cuke/tomato salad
D - hot dog on a bun with chili, grapes
S - SF ice cream

Ah the journey from planning to reality often relies heavily on a trip to the grocery store with an actual LIST. Maybe that's why I have trouble planning!!!

Ah, yes.  Actually, Bill does all the grocery shopping in our household.  I can certainly ask him for whatever I need, but usually I just plan my meals around what he's bought, because he is such a greater sale shopper!  Part of the problem in our house is I might plan something to eat and then one of the kids "steals" it.  LOL.  Of course, they never steal my cottage cheese, Lean Cuisines or hard boiled eggs.

I just shopped today. Was 2/3 of the way through the store and realized I had a cart full of garbage bags, paper towels, shampoo, dish soap....and very little FOOD.

So I went back to get chicken, cheese, veggies, and blueberries. And will go to the farmer's market on Saturday to top it all off. I am a very "plain" eater. Cottage cheese with some SF pudding mix stirred in, topped with blueberries is like a gourmet dessert for me.

Interesting that you use the Lean Cuisines. They just don't float my boat - maybe I remember too well the days when it took 3 or 4 of them to fill me up.

Oh my God, I love them now just for that reason.  It never ceases to amaze me that 1 Lean Cuisine is enough.  I don't need to bulk it up with a salad and roll like I used to before surgery.  Yeah, I remember when a Lean Cuisine was an appetizer for me!
