Combating Regain. . .
Hope you all had a good weekend, I am thrilled and excited that this morning I stepped on the scale and saw a weight of 179, which is a 2 lbs. loss and that helps keep me motivated on mornings when that alarm goes off at 4:55 a.m. and I have to roll out of bed into my gym clothes and head to the gym, which I am doing 4x a week. Now mind you the scale is not the only motivating factor here, health and vigor is what I am seeking as well and while at that ungodly hour is does not feel very envigorating, when I get out of the shower after my workout, I feel glad that I did what I did, another side benefit is the fact that I am reaching for foods I know that are good for me and I also find, does anyone else find this to be the case, that I am full quicker than before, sort of like the first six months? Not complaining, just wondering. . .
Well that's my story, what are you doing to combat regain today?

My Mantra is that I do not determine my success by the number hanging in my closet, nor will I let the scale determine that success either. . . It is through trial and error I will continue to grow and succeed. . . Laureen

Ugghhh for me. I didn't make a food plan today and have already made less than healthy choices. Nothing horrible, just not the best choices. You know what I mean? I'm in the "I should do this or that" stage. I've decided that if it is not raining when I get off the train today, I will walk home. It's the least I can do!
I talked to Audrey about kind of a re-start -- going all the way back to what I did right after surgery, beginning with full liquids. I am planning on starting that on July 1st. I know it will be a challenge, especially when going to the shore, but I did it before, and I know I can do it again.

Jill doesn't matter what you do, just do it as the Nike commercial used to tout. . . ;)
Have a great day!

I feel so much better today in that I was able to get myself to the gym, where I did a 5k in 40 minutes on the elliptical and than worked my upper body. When I was done, lots of sweat equity and maybe even endorphins, cause I did feel good about my workout and stick to itiveness. . . tomorrow is a day off from the gym, I will give my body rest, as I keep reading that rest time as well as sleep helps the body recover from working out and is necessary, just can't get too caught up in the rest cycle (lol). . .
Making fairly good food choices, taking vitamins and doing my best to get in a minimum of 64 oz of fluid before 6 p.m., so I can stop waking up to go to the bathroom so many times during the night, averaging 3x a night, not a good thing for my sleep. . .
Anyway, that's it. . .
