Good morning all of PA!   I have been up since 4:30 this morning. Have NOT been able to go back to sleep.  Should make for an interesting day.  I had a nice weekend, topped off with Larry being around all weekend and having a very laid back and fun Father's Day.  It was nice just celebrating him and not our forty million dads.  His dad is down the shore, mine is in FL and although we should have seen Charlie, I just didn't have it in me to make a dinner for them.  So, we visited with friends, hung out at home and made a fire out back.  It was a beautiful Sunday.

I am shortly getting dressed and heading into school, I am hopefully going to finish packing up my classroom today so that tomorrow is really a day of NOTHING but getting records together for next year.  I only have students today from 1:45 til 3:15 - and if it is anything like Friday, I only had about 10 kids anyway as the rest of them were helping other teachers get their rooms ready.

After school is up in the air.  I am going to no doubt be exhausted, so a nap might be in order, I have NO reason not to go to the pool, with the exception of being so tired I might drown.  Have to get thee to a market - bare bones in this house.  Then home tonight.  Larry is back to work, I am hoping a friend will come over to keep me compan this evening.  If not, then an early night for me.

Hope your Monday is a nice one!

Good Morning Steffi & PA:

Yesterday, Gene and I got the summer kitchen all cleared out so the plumbers can begin ripping apart the rest of the basement for the sewage pipe that needs replacing.  The front yard will also be ripped apart at some point this week to allow for the pipe to be replaced from the house to the street.  I am exhausted.

The usable space we have to live in is getting smaller and smaller.  I am so tired of the house being ripped apart.

Today I'm working till 4, then class till 10.

Hope everyone has a great Monday....

Morning Steffi... sorry you haven't been sleeping well.  I hope your day goes by quickly and uneventfully.

As for me, I got up at 6 after tossing and turning and getting kicked by a restless 18 month old last night.  He was definitely more active last night than he had been the other nights.  Maybe it was because it was his first night back in my bed and he was just weirded out, who knows.  Anyway, Tanya and Marshall came back yesterday and Lola came this time, too!  Siehara is done with school and is counting down til she leaves for camp (3 full days left).  I am figuring that Siehara can take Lola over to the playground in our complex during the day today.  She can probably take Marshall, too, but we'll see what Tanya says.  I think she'd be ok with him there.  It's a closed in area for his age, so they should be fine.

I'll be working today til 3:30, then I have to take Siehara for Bat Mitzvah tutoring.  While she is there, I think I (or we) will head to Amelia's to pick up a few things.  Then, home to get dinner finished and spend the evening hanging out here and seeing what else I can finalize for camp.  I still need to print her mailing labels, find her spring jacket, and a few other things that I have written down but cannot think of at the moment.

It looks like it should be a pretty nice day, at least around here.  Hopefully everyone has a great one!

Good morning Steffi and PA,

today I am going back to work after a nice looonnnggg weekend.  I took last Wed, Thurs, and Friday off.  Started this morning with a trip to the gym for a one hour elliptical ride.  I thought it was going to rain this morning so I didn't walk outside.  Not sure if I'm going to ride my scooter to work either.  I don't have rain gear if I get caught in the rain.  Gonna think about that while I shower and get ready for work.  Tonight, not much planned.  Cherish might come over for dinner.  I'm making chili.  I know it's not exacly chili eating weather but I love it.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week I plan on working on my son's room while he's at the shore with his girlfriends family.  He has baby stuff all over his room since the shower last Sunday.  I need to get that stuff organized by sizes and things put aside that won't be used right away.  I'm getting more and more excited about having a baby in our house again.  Even if it is only part time.

Time to get my butt in the shower and this work day started.

Have a good one my friends.

He everyone. I am checking in from FL for the next few weeks. Mike is here for 5 days with me, so I took some vacation days. Today is our wedding anniversary so we are going out later on. Hopefully then plan will include a sunset over the Gulf this evening.

And yes, its warm here but that means about 90.

We had our son, DIL, and granddaughters Lilly and Alisa here thru this morning. They had been here for the week for their vacation. Yesterday we got to see Kung Fu Panda 2 with Alisa. (I actually wanted to see it....but its better with a 5 year old.)

More later! Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning Steffi, PA Posters,

I had a busy weekend, Saturday I got up did two loads of laundry, changed the bed linens, Tony came down and we went to breakfast, took Roxie to get her nails trimmed, picked up treats for her, went home relaxed some, then lunch, whenever Tony takes me to eat (which is generally every weekend, because he does not want me cooking, says it time for me to relax), I wind up with enough food for at least two meals (lol), this week was no exception. . .after he left, I did some stuff around the house, went to my AA women's homegroup, met with my friend Owen for about an hour or so, then home to bed. . .  yesterday got up, vacuumed the house of all the dog bunnies, took a ride to the Jackson Outlets to buy some shoes at Bass, wound up buying a cute summer dress as well in Ann Taylor, as I had a gift card left over from last year's mother's day, also bought a baby gift as next weekend I am going to NY for my nephews high school graduation and his cousin's wife had a baby boy on Tony's birthday last month.  I just wanted to take the ride, as the road I take to the outlets is a nice country drive, lots of farms, horse farms and the like, came home, cooked dinner, got my food ready to go for the morning, packed my gym bag, choose my work clothes, as I shower and go to work from the gym, watched a movie called "Hachi, A Dog's Story" with Richard Gere, it was a really good movie and based on a true story about a dog and his loyalty towards his owner, after that I went to bed by 10 so I could feel somewhat refreshed when the alarm went off at 4:55 this morning, though last night I did not sleep well, woke three times to go to the bathroom, oh well, hopefully tonight I will sleep well. . .  I'm at work now, planning to hit a noon AA meeting, then home to hang with Roxie girl and an early bedtime.

Hope you all have a good day, sending thoughs of peace and strength to those facing life challenges.

Hugs, Laureen

Good morning all - I'm later than usual at checking in due to digging through work e-mail and straightening up my desk, etc., after a week off. And yo Steffi - this sleep deprivation is wearing off on me - I woke up at 2:30 - didn't get back to sleep til 3:30 - up again at 4:15 - finally turned the a/c down because I was HOT and fell into a decent sleep til 5:00. I'm struggling now to keep my eyes open - gonna be a very long day.

Vacation was absolutely awesome - had a wonderful time with my granddaughter. Neat kid - easy and laid back - had fun just lounging by the pool or the ocean.

Tonight we're heading to the last of the grandchildren's graduation ceremonies of the year - this one is over in Pemberton, NJ, so it's going to be a long day. We had 3 granddaughters graduate this year between the two of us - now we're down to just 3 left - 2 of mine and 1 of Len's. This was a very expensive year.

And that's about it for me - just working trying to catch up. And stay awake!!

Morning all -

Well, after an exceptional weekend I am back at work. Apparently the "training" we got a throw away e mail on over a month ago is today and tomorrow. Oh, and it's all day 10 - 5, pick your day. What the hell? I am in no way in any shape to be away from my desk for that long, so I had to pick tomorrow. Busting my butt today to prep as much as possible for boring refresher training tomorrow.

Spent the day yesterday with Cyd and her husband Bob. We had a fantastic lunch at Honey's in Northern Liberties, then followed that with consignment/thrift shopping on South Street. Consignment store shopping is soooo much more fun now! I, literally, could have bought a ton of clothes. I settled on 2 dresses, 2 skirts, 3 tops, and a pair of shoes. Woo hoo!

Tonight is gym then dinner at Cyd's. She's making chili, which only she and I eat so it's a perfect meal for us.

Have a great day y'all!!

Good Morning Steffi and PA!!

Steffi- I have been trying Melatonin(it is over the counter) and it DOES help me sleep. Just a suggestion....

Today is back to work for the last week of school. I came in this morning to find out that we still have to cover teachers' preps. This has not been the norm so some people are not happy, like my department head! I am so enjoying it though, because she does everything possible to make my life difficult. I am helping out with the 8th grade promotion so I will let the chips fall where they may, at least until after tomorrow!!

After school I need to pick up some makeup and then home for dinner and relaxation time, then early bed time because  I will need to be at work early to help set up for promotion!

BTW, Had a great Father's Day!! Steven seemed to enjoy his day. Saw my folks, my mom was awake but not making much sense. Dad wasn't feeling well since he is still struggling with the after effects of broncitis....and so it goes!! We went to our favorite Chinese Restaurant for dinner. Usually this place is ALWAYS packed, but we were seated right away!! Dee ate Chicken and Cashews, which was YUMMY!! I had orange beef and Steven had Jade Chicken which is a garlicky roasted chicken with a little kick. All in all, a great day!!

That is it for me!!
Love to all,  Beth

Good Afternoon Steffi,
I got up early and walked Utley before going to the hospital for a half-day of training.  I am now learning the paperwork I am responsible for in my new job of social worker.  I am a little anxious about it all right now.  Kind of feel overwhelmed by it all.  I am sure I will be fine once I get the hang of it.  I did manage to earn 60 graduate credits, including my two years of internships, in three years, while teaching full time.  Where did I get that energy?  Now, just working part time is exhausting me.

After work, I walked Utley and have been crocheting a blanket for Isabel.  I promised her I would make her a red, pink and white one.  She helped me pick out the yarn when I was in Michigan in May, but did not start it till yesterday, because I was busy working on one for her brother.  When I took her brother's to them on Saturday, she asked me if I was done hers.  I had not even started it.  So, I promised I would start it when I got home.

I hope everyone has a great rest of Monday.

Hugs,
Trish
