Can it be two years already?????

Good Morning PA!!

Two years ago today I put myself in the very capable hands of Dr. Pupkova to change my life and my health. I remember how nervous I was! Dr. P. came up to me and said you can still say no if you want. I said NO WAY!! After all that I had been through to get to that point, I was NOT backing out!! The care that I received at Barix was TOP NOTCH! The nurses and staff were tough but they really helped in the recovery process.

What I didn't know at that time was how much my life was going to change!! The biggest change I think is all the great people I have met along the way!! These are folks that "GET IT", that have been there. The support I have gotten is something I really appreciate and something I cannot do without!! I don't think I would have been as successful!!

The last year has been a real challenge. Both personally and with my continued success as a WLS patient. I have been looking alot at my before picture and trying to hold on to my success so far. There are times that it is harder to focus on the positive and not the negative!! Am I where I should be? NO! Will I get there? Gosh, I hope so!!

The one thing that keeps me holding on is the fact that we have such a great support system here online and in person at Barix. Those meetings and the daily roll call really are important to me. I also have great support at home with my family! I told Steven last night that I am very grateful that he didn't leave me when I got so heavy. He said, "That is because I LOVE YOU!" So sweet!!! I guess I will keep him!?! Dee is also supportive in her 8 year old sort of way....LOL!!!

All I can say is I am so glad that I had the surgery and met all of the wonderful people I have along the way!! You are all my strength to go on everyday and make good decisions for me!

((HUGS)) and much love to all of you!!!

Love, Beth

Hugs to you too Beth!
I am so glad to have you as part of my support system.
This is more than a surgery...it is a lifestyle and mindset change.
You have done great and will continue to do so.

You beautiful wonderful woman!
Two years and look at how far you've come?
I have no doubt, AT ALL, that you will continue to use this tool to succeed in the years to come.

I am very lucky to have you in my life. Both for support and more importantly friendship.

Congratulations on 2 years down, the rest of your life to go!
Love you, Mwah!

Your road to surgery was not easy and I am so glad you did not give up. It has been my pleasure getting to know you the last few years and that journey has led us to friendship.

You have done an amazing job the past two years and you have done a great job. This past year has thrown a few hardballs your way but you hit them out of the park and done a great job.

Congrats!

I have no words that a hug and a look wouldn't give to you.  You know what you mean to me in this journey - but more importantly in my life!  You are my classmate, my WLS date giver, my daughter's treat baker - but most importantly - my friend!  I truly love you and love being part of this with you.  Thank YOU for all you have done to help me! :)

I don't believe we've actually met in person, but your participation on the board has been a help and encouragement to me in my journey.  You are inspirational and I wish you continued success!
