Good Morning PA!

Yesterday got all the bathroom and kitchen stuff the plumber will need for the house.  Soooo exhausting.  Love all the fixtures and faucets and shower stuff we chose.  Now on to cabinets, countertop, glass for the wall and shower door, and tile for two bathrooms everything else is done.

Today I'm home.  Working a bit then I have to concentrate on my MBA final paper & power point presentation for this accounting class.

A quick run to the grocery store is also on the agenda for today.

It's nice and cool in the house so I'm guessing it is cool outside, need to start downing some water so I can get out for a walk.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day...

Good Morning Ida and PA,
Sounds like your remodeling is coming along well.  I remember when I was married and living in the house, getting to pick out the different things we needed.  It was fun.

Today, I woke up with a killer headache.  One of those where I couldn't get back to sleep if I tried.

I have a dentist appointment because I cracked a tooth last week.  Then, I have to head over to Brooke Glen Behavioral Hospital to sing paperwork, because I was hired as a Per Diem Social Worker there.  I gave up on waiting for Northwestern Human Services.

After that, I am back to the sewing machine, working on a dress I started for Isabel.  I have five things cut out for the kids.  Three dresses and two coverall shorts.  The shorts are for Lincoln.  The fabric I picked out for him is adorable.  One has a teddy bear doing construction, with saws and lumber.  The other has monkeys and palm trees.

Hope your day is awesome.  Good job on pluggin away on your degree through everything going on in the house.

Hugs,
Trish

Good Morning!

I am back at the grind today. hoping to hear back from the Dr this morning about her thoughts on what is going on with my joints (hands and knees mostly). Working until 3:30 - 4ish then headed home to hang with MIa, make dinner, give her a bath, get ready for bed and do some straightening up.

I was pleasantly suprised when I walked out the front door this morning - it was beautiful!

Hi everyone,

I am working at home today just as the roofers get started up above me. We had hail damage last summer which was not discovered until we got the gutters cleaned out, so some of this is going to be covered by insurance fortunately. It's probably going to be a noisy few days though!

Glad it's not so hot today. I have the doors open early. MUCH prefer fresh air to A/C. At work yesterday the A/C was so cold I was wishing for a coat! THen of course walking outside for a couple of blocks to the car was ridiculously hot! No in between!

I'll also head to the gym, and am making dinner for a family from our church. My friend's husband is a young guy (30's) who experienced a series of grand mal seizures last week. He spent several days in ICU in a medically induced coma, was assessed for kidney damage, and of course many compications can possibly arise from this. RIght now he seems like he has really turned the corner and is doing well. If you believe in miracles, this was really one! They have young children (3 and 5). Anyway, I am making dinner for them and all the parents who are in town to help.

Have a great day everyone!

 Morning all....

I've been up working since 6.  Siehara has an orthodontist appointment at 8:15, so as soon as she finishes getting dressed we will head there.  Then I'll drop her off at school and finish my work day.

Tonight is the Girls on the Run 5K so I am eating my oatmeal for breakfast and will make sure to stay hydrated.  My main goal tonight is to be a great motivator for a girl who is doing this run/walk.  This is her walk/run, not mine.  I am only there as a support system and hopefully some comic relief to keep her going.  Siehara is going to hang out at the finish line and cheer the girls in.

Glad it's not so ungdly hot outside and hope it stays that way for tonight.

Have a great day everyone!!

Good morning all - Ida, I've been watching your house project/progress on FB - what a major undertaking! But I can't wait to see pictures of the finished product - I'm sure it's going to be amazing!!

I'm at work and loving the change in the weather - it was starting to cool off last night when I walked the dog - could feel it in the breeze that was kicking up. Sadly had to water all my posies because the rains never did come our way, but that's okay. Other than that I didn't do a whole lot last night.

Tonight I have to take Jude to the vet for his booster shots, and that's about it - poor little guy is going through the mill today - grooming, then the vet - he won't be a happy boy tonight!

Enjoy this beautiful weather - Kathy

Morning all!
Very unproductive night last night. Just hung ou****ching old Jeopardy episodes I had on the DVR.

I did stop at the Salvation Army yesterday to check the 50% off stuff. Found 5 skirts, 1 pair of capris, and a tee shirt dress. All for $16. Can't beat that.

The above leads to a question I posed to my Mom the other day. When did I become such a girl?? On Friday I was at the gym getting dressed after tanning and caught a glimpse of myself in my mirror. I had on a skirt, heels, make up, jewelry. I was tanning. And I was on my way to (happily!) bathing suit shop. Dude, when did I become a girl?

I called my Mom up and she pointed out that it started happening around my 100 pounds lost point. When I started to care about myself again. Pretty cool, but still weird.

Today is work, and maybe a stop at Walmart on the way home. They had a couple of sundresses that I think I want to go back and try on. More dresses??

Have a great Thursday everyone. Only one more day!

Good morning PA!!

Missed roll call yesterday as I had to be up and out super early for a parent meeting with the principal...which my principal forgot about completely and he made the parent come back an hour later and had the meeting with her himself as there was no one to cover my class. Arrrg so frustrating!!!!! Plus the heat was brutal...thank goodness for an early dismissal because I was one cranky melted sweaty mama to be yesterday!

But today...OMG!!! Gorgeous out! I have all the windows in the house open and the breeze feels marvelous since I am off for the holy day today.  I don't really have anything on the agenda today..just straightening up, putting laundry away, and then I may just go sit outside on the porch and read and relax.

Hope everyone has a marvelous day!!!

Much luv!!

Good morning Ida and all - Good luck with the finishing touches...the end is near...yay! :)

I am at school, feeling somewhat ok.  Not great - Larry and I had a HUGE heart to heart last night about some things - he realized how strongly I felt about certain things going on, and after he thought about it, realized his part in all of it and has apologized sincerely and is trying VERY hard to make amends.  I think I will allow him to do so! :)  HA HA!

After school I am headed home for a little then to an end of year dinner at the synagogue for the teachers - I have NO desire to do that.  Then home.  Not sure who or when but such is my life these days!

Happy Thursday y'all!
