Introducing Myself

Just want to introduce myself.  I'm Joanne. I live in Palmyra, NJ and had my WLS in Hahnemann Hospital on June 22, 2010. I lost 85 pounds. It was the best thing I ever did for myself. I went to hear Katie Jay speak on Saturday. She is from the National Association of Weight Loss Surgery. I met some lovely people there and made some great connections/friends. That is how I've come to find Obesity Help.com. I didn't know about this website/forum. I look forward to making more connections here . Please say hello to me. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Joanne, and welcome.  The PA forum is one of the best on OH.  Congratulations on your weight loss success.

   Hi Joanne and welcome aboard!!

You will find that this is a very active board on OH.  We are here to support each other in all areas of our lives, not just with our WLS.  We will hug you, hold your hand, and kick your butt (in a loving way) if necessary.

Some of us are a bit eccentric and sarcastic (not mentioning any names-judge for yourself.. lol)  But we are all just one big happy, if not dysfunctional family.

Jump right in!   Look forward to getting to know you!

By the way, I'm Lisa.  RNY 2/23/09.  Lost about 70-75 lbs and am struggling to get my head back in the game.  But, I'm here every day getting support from my family!

Hi Joanne, you'll find a lot of support and freindships on this forum. I'm Scot. Had a "mental RNY" in June 2010 while waiting for surgery. Had surgery cancelled on me twice and now have to get insurance approval all over again because of the delay.

That's my story. Good to meet you.
