I am awake nd here that is about al I can muster at the moment. Was a rough night with my body in some sort of revolt so was up and so I was not alone made sure I woke Den to keep me company and hold me.

I had to make it to work today since my boss has meetings all day but if he returns early I may ask him to scoot early. Either way after work I will head to my best friends to see her daughter off to the Senior Prom. Then home to my bed!

Last night I went to the support group meeting at Barix I had not been there in 6 months but I was there to support Kathleen and Cherish both our amazing women I am proud to have in my life. Plus I had to be there to support my Dennis as he made his annoucement last night.

After taking care of so many all these years he will now take care of himself and I hope in the process he learns to lean on some of you.

Life is Good! (even when I look and feel like death)

Beth,

It was good to see you last night at the meeting. I know it is not easy for you to be there especially when there is negativity around....I guess I couldn't ask for you to come to the next months Wednesday meeting? It IS my two year surgiversary!! Just sayin....

Beth,

Thank you it was good to be there. I can ignore most negative forces I am pretty positive even when I don't sound it deep inside I am yet when I see anything directed at those I love it gets me riled.

Yes you can ask me to be there for you next month and I will be there to support you my friend. All you ever have to do is ask me and if it is in my power I will do it.

Love ya....

Beth,

Ok, I am asking...LOL!! You were one of the first people that I met at Barix. I am glad that we have become friends. You know how much I struggled to get the surgery and you were there to support me from the very beginning!!

Thanks so much friend!

Love, Beth

Good Morning Theffi and PA!!

The title is too funny, but then look who wrote it!!

Today is wor****il 3:30 unless we have a meeting, BLECH!! Then I have NOTHING planned for this evening! YEAH!! Went to the podiatrist last night for him to tell me that I have a heel spur, DUH!?! I knew that!! Have for years! So, he wants me to do stretching therapy and get a night splint and wear it at least an hour a day. No more flat shoes, flip flops for me!?! I also have to get an orthodic heel thingy(yeah, i forgot what they call it?!?) to help with the heel pain. If I don't feel any better in a month I will get a cortisone injection in my heel, SO MUCH FUN!!!!!!!! NOT!

Hope this rain goes away soon! It is getting more and more depressing....

Have a great day!!
Love to all, Beth

Beth,

I have a heel spur / plantar fasciitis, and I've had to do all those things too. Some of them are less fun than others (No flip flops, are ya kidding me???) but I couldn't stand the night splint. My podiatrist finally recommended the Strassborg Sock http://www.thesock.com/ and that has helped me quite a bit. I wear it to bed, and I even wear it in the evening when I'm watching TV. Some people don't mind the big plastic night splint, but I'm not one of them!

I hope your heel pain improves. I ended up needing the cortisone shot, and yes, it was painful, but it really did help.

Good luck with it!

Lesley,

I have had the cortisone shot before, and yea, IT DOES HURT, but it also helps. I am going to do what the dr recommended and see if that helps. I will check into the strassborg sock you were talking about. If not, I will need to get the shot! YUCK!! I will do what I need to do cause I need to get back to exercise!!! 1-2-3 ZUMBA is calling me!

Thanks,

Beth

Theriously Stethi ?

Anyway, this day has been much like the others, CRAZY I TELL YA. I talked to my supervisor last night and she was said " holy crap it is never that bad" so she was getting appreciation for what we have done while she has been gone. I went home yesterday in a fog made some bad choices with food, and was feeling pretty wiped out. I was thinking to myself, wow this is nuts and I am so torn up. Why did this week have to be so insane. Then it occurred to me in a moment of sanity that this was an opportunity. If things were quiet this week, no drama no challenges, I would not have had to interact with the big boss and he would not have had the opportunity to see me in action. If things were quiet, he could continue to NOT consider me for the clinical supervisor position because he does not really know me. This crazines was a opportunity for me to show off! Show him what I can do, so that he will have a clear picture of who I am and what I can do in a crisis. This was actually a good thing. Since then my mood has improved and I feel better.
Today was just as nuts but I just rolled with it. I particpated in it rather than letting it come at me. This is a big lesson folks. Thanks for letting me share it. SO back to Thilly Thursday!
