Send some love this way!

As if recovering from his OWN house Fire last Thanksgiving wasn't enough for my ex-husband and our sons, more bad news this morning.

His elderly father and Aunt were killed in a house fire this morning. They lived together the last year to help each other out. Early this morning, the fire Dept was called and they both lost their lives. My ex was there. The boys were with me and I was getting them on the bus as we watched several fire trucks fly by, not knowing what was going on at the time.

So just send positive thoughts, prayers or whatever our way. I will tell the boys after school. They have no idea yet. My ex husband is overwhelmed and sad.

Here's a link to pics that were taken that my mom just forwarded to me. It's so heartbreaking and sad!

Thanks everyone.

I had hoped to let the boys get through school today then their dad & I could talk to them together. Well, technology changed that.

A fire in our small town is a big deal. And all the kids were talking about it, so in computer class, McCoy looked on the news website, saw the pics and recognized the house and the address. He began crying, went to Guidance office and I went to pick them up. They are with Dad right now. They are in shock and so sad. I fell bad as a mother that I really don't know what to say.

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Jodi, sometimes it's ok to say "I just don't know what to say...."

I am so sorry that your family is going through another tragedy.
