Tired Thursday Roll Call

Hi Family,
I am up late because of a killer sinus headache.  Spring allergies are murder on me.  I will be calling my ENT doc in the morning for an Rx of prednisone.

First thing in the morning I am heading to a friend's house to kidsit, because she is in the hospital having given birth to a newborn.  Not sure how long I will be there, as the Dad will be coming home sometime while I am there to take the kids to visit Mom and new baby brother.

In the evening, I have my Special Olympics Management Team meeting, where I am recording secretary.  I really do not like this responsibilty, as it cuts into my Bible study, and I would prefer to be there instead.  I volunteer wtih two groups, and have a Bible study in the evening,a nd they are all on Thursdays.  Seven days in a week, and everyone picks the same day.

I also need to find new AA meetings.  I learned the hard way that I can be taken advantage of by so called "friends" and I need to go elsewhere to get my recovery than the local clubhouse.

Enjoy the glorious weather.

Hugs,
Trish

Yes this time of the year isn't any fun for people who have sinus problems.  I'm excited that I can attend roll call and i'm not the late one here.

I'm having lunch with my BFF today.  OK, she'll eat and I'm taking something I can eat with me.  It's funny how most of my "outings" with people revolved around food.  Now I'd rather walk around a store for a bit or go for a nice walk outside.

I went to the grocery day, first driving day today, and I smelled fresh made doughnuts.  It actually smelled so sweet it made my pouch a little upset.  LOL

Hi all

Meeting with the Director was a total waste of time. She dismiss my feelings, continued to defend her " petty" comments, and denied that she was mad at me. When I asked her why she had been refusing to talk to me for a week she just said she was dissappointed in me. Really? For standing up for myself? For taking two weeks to sort out what I wanted to say so it was not reactive and over emotional?  Whatever so glad she is leaving so ridiculous. She kept telling me " it wasnt even a bad review what is the problem?"  I never said it was bad,  but parts of it were inaccurate and were a surprise. That shoudl never happen.

I digress. This cold is hurting my ears yuck.  At work today, having dinner with a friend tonight that I have not seen in awhile. Have a busy day with clients and lots of paper work soo...will probably be MIA the rest of the day.

Hope you have a good one. Be grateful, like my Pap says, " well I am doing pretty good I woke up this morning " LOL

Nicole,

Sorry that she did not "get it", apparently she is not as good as a director as she thinks. I have been in management positions before and it is so important to listen and understand what is going on with your employees. This is the best for all involved, especially if you want things to run smoothly!

I am so proud of you for standing up for yourself!!

Love, Beth

It's interesting when my youngest was 9-10 months old, she decided that sleep was no longer necessary.  The only way I could get her to sleep was to put her in the car and drive around the block 3-4 times, then carry her into the house and into her crib where she'd sleep through the night.  This went on for about 3 months.  Her next refusal was sleeping in her crib and she only wanted to sleep on the floor - go figure.....

Morning Trish and PA.. my sinuses have been giving me problems most of the winter.  I hope we can both get some relief.    Hopefully, you can find a better fit in an AA meeting for you, Trish.  You need to stay with it.

Nicole, sorry she is being such a douchebag.. hopefully things will get better once she leaves.

As for me, I am working my usual shift until 3:30.  Then, I have to go to Carvel to pick up the ice cream sundaes for Purim and pick up Daniel Caine and the hamantaschen and bring everything and everyone over to the synagogue.  I'll drop the kids off and get the main building opened so I can put the goodies in the fridge/freezer for this weekend.

From there, I am going to check out a dry cleaner in Bethlehem where I was told I could take my comforter to have repaired.  It must have gotten caught on something in the washer because now it is ripped.  This is my brand new one so I am pretty upset and hope it can be repaired somewhat back to new.

If I have time, I'll head to the gym for some cardio work.  I did double cardio again last night.... trekking class (treadmill) and Body Combat!  I am sore today, but will do some stretching during the day and then either get on a treadmill or a bike tonight.    I think all the cardio will help jump start my weight loss again.  I hope so.

After I pick Siehara up from Hebrew school, I am headed home.  My Tastefully Simple mentor is coming over to go over some stuff and answer questions.  It will be good to sit with her and get a clear understanding of how best to get my business started.

Hope everyone has a great day! Happy St. Patty's Day, too.

Good Morning Trish & PA;

Trish I hope you start to feel better.  Good for you for taking care of your needs in regard to your need to change of meetings....

Happy St. Patrick's day to you all....

I'm working from home today.  I have my 18 month check up with Dr. Dempsey.  I cannot believe it's been 18 months since my surgery - OH MY.....

I'm hoping to stop at the gym on the way home from the doctors then get out for a nice walk around the neighborhood later in the afternoon.

My project is in full swing.  Pulling this one off what a trip getting here and the end result is not completely my desired outcome, as I'm working with the programs that I've described and have been developed for me I see improvements and some things that need to be re-written for this to be improved upon for next year.  I suppose that is progress - the idea, get it into production, use it, improve upon.

Enjoy your day, I'm sitting here in my den watching the sun come up and looking forward to getting outside!!!

Good morning all - spring has sprung, Trish, so get those meds - I bet the buds and everything else will be popping open soon. Mold is probably going to be an issue this spring as well since we had another wet winter.

I'm at work - not much going on here. When I got here and was taking off my jacket I felt something in my pocket - it was a Lindor truffle candy - I had grabbed it when we were visiting friends 2 weeks ago on my way out the door and totally forgot about it - and I just threw it out. I figure if I had forgotten about it for 2 weeks I obviously didn't need it or really want it, so why keep it? I take those things as tiny victories a 3+ years out from surgery.

My PT is going well for my core strengthening - can't say my gait has improved much yet but hopefully it will. I have put on some weight over the past year since my mom died - my exercise has been almost non-existent, but with the PT and nicer weather I'm trying to get back into it and work my way back up to the 15 miles I was doing on my bike. And get this excess weight off. I don't like it one bit.

My mind wanders more and more about moving south to Florida - hubby and I talk about it constantly - we still think it is more than a year away, but I'm not so sure.

Kathy
