Beth, I struggle with this also.

My oldest 2 boys are both considered overweight. They are 13 and 11. I can only contril so much since I share custody with my ex-hubby. But I only let them eat certain things at my house. I am a control freak with junk food and snacks. I make proteins, veggies and a side of carbs for every meal. *I* make their plates. And second servings are only allowed if they want more protein or veggies.

My boys come from 2 overweight parents. They are doomed. The best I can do is try to teach them to eat healhier, snack healthier and get as much activity as possible. Do I think they are overweight? Nope. However they are on the bigger end in comparison to classmates. And so was I at their age.

Don't let it stress you. Just continue to encourage good habits, good snacks, and any activity that includes movement. Be faithful in your knowledge, and parenting. Good Luck! It's hard for us all!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
