I have been to a few of the Barix support group meetings and I do plan on attending the next one. I was originally going to have surgery with them and Dr. P however at the same time she left my hubby's insurance plan changed so I had to switch facilities since my insurance only wanted to pay 50% with Barix :( but, it's ok, I'm now going go have surgery at Hahnemann (hopefully) in May. They are super nice there and seem very well informed.
I hope to see some of you at the next Barix meeting :)

I am 40 yrs old and 5 weeks post op and 30lbs down. I live in Morrisville, PA and have been going to the Barix meetings since before my surgery. I had the RNY. I will be at the post-op meeting next Wed April 20th. If you can make it, find me and we can exchange info. We all need a good support system and you can never have too many WLS friends. Can't wait to meet you.

Hello everyone...I am new to this board. I have wanted surgery off and on for years and have always told myself that I can do it on my own, but have not been successful. So now I am researching for the best Dr. and hospital for the procedure. Then I want to make the appointment and get this going . I want to extend my life and believe this is the way I can do it. I'm open to any suggestions, recommendations etc.
