Penn Medicine Bariatric Program

Hi,

I'm exploring different programs for having a sleeve gastrectomy, and was wondering how one goes about selecting a surgeon and hospital at Penn Medicine given there are 3 hospitals and so many surgeons to pick from.  Are there any of the physicians who specialize in sleeves or has more experience in that procedure?  Just looking for any insight from those who have gone through Penn.

I went to Univ of Penn and was very happy.  I got the sleeve done with Dr Noel Williams, he is the director of their bariatric program.  I am pretty new, I have only been sleeved since the end of Sept. but I have not had a moment's regret.  My surgery was textbook and I felt Dr. Williams was very competent and knowledgeable.  He does his surgerys Laparscopically(sp?).  Good Luck with your journey:)
