Need to get back into the swing of things!!

I do believe i need to get back on OH on a regular basis! Somehow with 3 children though it seems impossible BUT I am making it a point to check in on a daily basis and get more involved.

I have been out of sorts totally since have my thyroid and goiter removed in September. For all who have had it done Im sure you can understand! Ive been dealing with constant belly pain for well over a month now and though i do know its not a hernia they are now looking into an ulcer or my gallbladder. I was suppose to have an Upper GI series done today but that was cancelled due to the yucko weather! Im on  some meds to help if it is an ulcer and finally made the commitment to stop smoking! Something I should have done long ago!!

I need to be accountable for the food i eat and be more involved in the OH family again. My weight is really up and down. Literally I have gained 10 lbs in a week and lost it all the next week. My dr keeps telling me that alot of it is because my meds are still being monitored from my thyroid surgery and my TSH are TOTALLY off the charts yet!! So here I am admitting i need help or I may lose control !!!

Tanya,
I can totally relate to your situation. I have been sick on and off since September and my exercise has been minimal to say the least. I got back into the swing of things by exercising over the weekend and I am committing myself to hitting the work gym 3 times a week for strength and weight training. The irony of it is that I work for NutriSystem and this place is the most unhealthy place to work for but I also believe in accountability just cause they do not offer healthy eating options does not mean I have to put it  in my mouth so that being said I am determined to lose the 10lbs and more than anything else tone this saggy craisin butt. LOL Hang in there and we are here for you!

People comment on my over 100 pound weight loss and attribute it to my WILLpower, but it is my WANTpower: I WANT to be thin and healthy more than anything else!

I know you would...If I was not sandwich and a pee peep jar road trip away from her I would offer to take them as well. Just as I would take your angel for a weekend if she needs a get away or if you need an child break ;)

Tanya, it gets tough sometimes. Life gets the best of us and we tend to get off track.

I began tracking my food again. It's been since the week after Christmas and it's going well. I am also doing something that Johnny finds odd, but it's working. I actually stare at my food before I take a bite. I have a habit of eating too fast, too much, or out of boredom. Taking the time to look at it a moment, gives my mind a chance to decide if I really need it or not. Seems silly, I know.

Well are all here for you, many in the same boat of getting off track. But we can all get there again! hang in there!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!

Tanya...
Life has its way of getting in the way doesn't it?   I know how you feel.   IN my case, I just got good and tired of things going on as they were...... and I decided it was time to take control.  It was easiest for me to start with meal planning and food accountability first.  I was lucky enough to find a 'health coach' to keep me on track.    Then we added exercise.  so far, I"m down 12 pounds.

I"ve followed Nan and KAren G to Sparkpeople for some good information on staying on track, food diaries and execricse tracking.  it helps.

Hugs,

jayne
