imagine having nothing to do on Shabbat.. I wonder what Siehara would do if I turned off the TV and the computer and had the lights go on by timer or lit some candles and forced her to play games with me???

Good morning Liz and PA I went to let all five of my dogs out and made the opps of sticking my toe outside and my yellow lab Oliver looked at me as if to say "oh Mom not really"! They were quick did their thing and were right back at the door.  I just adopted two dogs a friend of mine his sister passed away and they needed homes they are wonderful dogs a yellow lab 6 1/2 male Oliver and 3 year old golden/shepard female Olivia and they fit right in with my other 3.  Wow why can't humans be like that?  I have to go out later to do a pet sit assignment and I am hibernating.  Too damn cold!  Everybody drive safe and have a good day stay warm!

Hi all still sore and recovering. Did venture into work today already regretting it.

I have a chiro appt today, have to go drop off donations to the Gatehouse for Women. Then we need to get to the Vet to pick up sparkles remains. I have put it off and they have called and asked me to come get her.

Laying low today hope you all stay warm.

Oh yes and came into work today and my director informed me that she our HR dept does not feel i have a workmans comp case because I was not at work yet. What party of being in the parking lot at work during work hours is not being at work?? Needless to say we will be fighting it

Good morning all - my main mission today is getting a christmas tree to my daughter and her family out in Seattle. I have made contact with this wonderful man who owns a tree farm out there and is working with me to have me pre-pay and just let them pick up the tree - this man has even gone so far as to say I can send him a CHECK as it's the holiday season and he understands. My daughter was so down and despondent the other day and I know it's because money is very tight - her husband is working in California right now and not around - and her middle daughter is turning 15 on Sunday and asking for things that my daughter can't possibly afford right now. She wants a 'spa' day with her girlfriends for a mani-pedi, then to go out to dinner. I told my daughter to offer to do a special 'spa' day at home - I know she has tons of polish and make-up - give them all mani-pedi's - do their make-up and hair - make pizza or burgers and let them have an all-night moviefest. If the One Tree Hill DVDs get there in time they can have a marathon as I sent Keali the first 4 seasons - that should entertain them for a while. So this morning I have to get my oldest granddaughter on the phone so we can work the logistics of this out.

My plan to shop after the retirement luncheon I attended yesterday went down the tubes with the snow coming down - as it was it took me 2 hours to get home, so I was in no mood to trudge thru any stores, plus walking on icy surfaces scares the living daylights out of me because of my knee replacements - if I fall it's not very easy for me to get up, much less worry about breaking one of those bad boys!!

Well, that's my Friday story - last appt with the ortho surgeon today about my shoulder - it's doing pretty good so I think we'll just let things go for now and see how it goes.

Have a great weekend everyone - Kathy

Morning Lisa and all the rest of the folks here on the PA Forum. . .

Sounds like we are all sorts of busy, both with the obligations of life and the blessings of living.

Sheesh, amazing what a little snow can do, my travels home last night were very scary, so many accidents on 95 northbound, it took me almost 3 hours to get home, when will people ever learn that just because you think you are a great driver, does not mean that mother nature does not have the upper hand and that man made vehicles are subject to anything that could go wrong. . .  oh well, did not see anything that looked like people really got hurt and that I hope is more the case than not.  When I got home, I was thoroughly exhausted and was in bed by 8:15, thought I could watch some television, but after spending snuggle time with Roxie, I shut the television and that was at 8:36, so other than potty breaks during the night, I slept like a rock, straight through until my alarm woke me up at 5:20 this morning. . .  drive in was uneventful and so the day begins.

I have a busy weekend, which involves wrapping the myraid of gifts for my grandchildren, hanging out with special friends and Sunday, I am meeting with a couple of g/f's from work in Princeton and so it goes, what else is new, I am actually looking forward to NYE weekend, just so I can have some much needed relaxing, do as little as I want time, which is long overdue.

Well folks, that's it for me, wishing you all a wonderful day and peace and strength to carry on through the less than happy cir****tances some might be facing.

Hugs, Laureen

Good Morning Lisa,
Brrrr...;..it was cold walking Utley this morning.  I need to find my window scraper, because I forgot that there would be frozen snow on my windshield.

I got the job yesterday.  Not sure when I start, but at least I will have a part time job, to work toward eventually working full time in the mental health field.  I am really thrilled at this opportunity.

Today has me decorating some sugar cookies for Utley to give the girls who take care of him at the PetSmart Pet Hotel when I take him to doggie daycamp.  They are cutouts using a dog biscuit cookie cutter.

I also need to get to a meeting.  I will probably meet my sponsor at a meeting this evening.  I would also like to get this organizing job done.  I have file folders all over the living room.  When God was handing out the organizational gifts, I was not in line.  I have other gifts, just not that one.

Stay warm.

Hugs,
Trish

Hello everyone!

It's the afternoon by now. I did many errands this morning and cooking this afternoon. My big boys will be spending the next few days with their dad, as he is finally moved into an apt until house details are done.

I will soon be taking Riley to her Grandparnets for the night, then home to have my SIL watch Jantzen so I can head to work. (Johnny has a get together with co-workers after work)

I will most likely be getting home quite late tonight, so hoping for a good nights sleep. The Christmas get together with my mom, sister and grand parents is tomorrow and with all our kids, we have plaenty of food to make and gifts to organize! I will be picking up all my kiddos in the morning for the party, then Johnny and I have a surprose B-day party to attend tomorrow night.

Hope everyone has a great day! Enjoy your weekend!

When life hands you lemons, ask for tequila & salt and give me a call!
