Finally satisfied a 4 1/2 year craving

When I woke up from surgery at Barix 4 1/2 years ago, I had this tremendous craving for asparagus.  Kind of weird since I never really enjoyed it before surgery.  I have sampled it from time to time since then but it was always to dense for the pouch.

So I had an idea when I was at the market a few days ago.  Giant had bunches of extremely thin asparagus on display.  Decided I was going to try to do something with them. 

 

I cooked them over a low heat in some olive oil with fresh leeks, salt, pepper and then put a little reconstituted hollandaise over them.

YUMMO, NO GROUCHY POUCH.  Hope the leftovers agree with me as well.

I gound cooking them on the grill works for me... it seems to help break them up...

Interesting, because I have always hated asparagus.  I am glad you were able to enjoy it and have it agree with you.
