This is really, really sad news! And yes, it is true - I just confirmed it with someone at Barix. Dr. Boe is an amazing surgeon and he will be missed (as I am sure Dr. P will be to!). Dr. Marymore is coming back and I know he is a wonderful surgeon as well, so I am going to have my follow up appointments with him.
I have followed with Dr. boe since dr. brader left. He is a great guy and I am preparing for my black belt as we speak and he promised me he would be there to see me get it in April. I had to find out he was leaving by a person who had her surgery somewhere else, but knew Dr. Boe was my doctor. She told me today. I wish him all the best, but I think Barix should have told us at least a month ahead of time so we could say goodbye and get tuned into this change in our lives. I had been told that Dr. Marymore only did bypass surgery. I have a band. What does the new doctor know about a 4 1/2 year old band. I hope enough. I am very very upset, but understand that this is life.
I heard the news today when office called to reschedule my appointment with Dr. Medvetz. I am so depressed about Dr. Boe leaving (It was a bad day in general so this pushed me over the edge) and cried for about 30 minutes. I know that he is a great doctor and will suceed anywhere he goes but I know that I will truly miss him.
I agree this is very sad news. I was so upset when Dr. Brader left and grew to like Dr. Boe very much. Its so hard to trust a new doctor and gain the confidence in them. I know Barix is a great place but does anyone know where Dr. Medvetz is from? At least we knew Dr. Boe came from Barix. I travel from NJ to PA and am thinking of switching doctors since I have to basically start all over... I wish they would give us notice but I know life goes on and so does business...
